Long ago I bought a life-proof case for my old Ipod before I had a cell, caried it everywhere. It was the only case that held up to my lifestyle as a mechanic, teenager, adventurer. Took years to cause any damage to the poor ole gal. This new one has not held up so great. same person, same lifestyle, same uses over the last few months. A couple weeks after I got it the screen was pretty scratched up, whatever still worked. A month or so in the button area started seeping water. I found out on the river. Luckily didn't damage my phone. got 'er dried off and have just been more careful. But in the last couple weeks of traveling to a metal festival, and doing mobile mechanic work, It's gotten the hell beat out of it. The rubber coating has peeled back around the front, the screen is darn near unusable due to more scratching. It's still a pretty good case. would recommend, but its just not what it used to be. Also a plus as a girl, it fits in all my pockets. That is something that should be noted, especially if you're wild like myself. Being said, the warranty process is great. You pay a few bucks in shipping, and they send you a new one. Just keep the date you ordered the case. Last time they had it to me in a few days, but I expect that to be slower this time. As with all LifeProof cases it protects the phone very well. I’m in construction, so it’s not about waterproof, it’s about tile mud, sawdust, dropping, being in a pocket on my tool bags… So for me it’s great. Over time specks of dust do get in, the camera lens cover fogs up or isn’t pure see-through, when using the speakerphone sound is a bit muddled, and the plastic screen protector is annoying or has an oil look, but trade offs for job-site durability as I keep my iPhones for 4+ years. I usually need a new case once a year. I’ve tried knock-off LifeProof cases and have always been disappointed. The LifeProof price is obnoxious, but I keep buying them since they made their first iPhone case. ... show more
