Our son loves these. He is two now, so we have them hollow, but plan to fill them when he is a bit bigger. There are holes with caps for that on each weight. I’m not sure how sturdy the barbell Wii be with extra weight, so we will see. But either way this is worth the money. Great design, construction, colors, size. Love love love thee items grand baby was so happy they arrived I just wish there was a way to order extra plugs just incase you lose one since they are not attached to the weights
