This a really nice bluetooth speaker but be aware that this this is REALLY big for a speaker. It is portable but it is a very tall speaker. It has a handle on top to make it easy to move around but it can be heavy. That being said, this omni speaker is extremely powerful. I am very happy with the sound and how the sound is evenly sent out. So you get clear sound with this in the center of the room. The bass is AMAZING on this. Another thing to note is that this has a wired connector as well as bluetooth. That being said, if you are using a projector, you can actually connect to this speakers for better sound quality. I highly recommend using this for that. It is a great for an outdoor movie showing. I have used it for my laptop and it works great. The sound quality is really clear. When it first arrived the initial battery charge is about 60 percent. It lasted about seven hours on just playing movie sounds alone from my laptop. Even with the bluetooth connection, it did not drain the battery too quickly. It does take a bit longer time to charge than other bluetooth speakers due being a bigger size. The speakers also have an ambient light that is nice. It is warm lighting and not extremely bright. I charged it which took four hours to get to full, but it all depends on what media you are using. When I charged it with my laptop, it took way longer than it would with a wall plug or power hub. I would recommend using a power hub or wall plug if possible. Afterwards, I tried pairing it via Bluetooth to my phone and the sound quality was amazing. There was no lag or static even from several feet away. The sound was crystal clear and had a good bass sound to it. The device itself is a bit heavy and large but at least it does have a handle so you are easily transport this as needed. It will take a good amount of room in say your backpack so be aware of that. It is a big bluetooth speaker. On bluetooth from full charge I was able to use the speakers for several days on stand. The burgendy color looks pretty nice but it is very easy to see the scratches on the device. It is easier to see dirty and such on this.. The material the device is made out of it is pretty sturdy but I wouldn't recommend dropping it as it can leave scratches. I also do not recommend putting this on sand or dirt as the material just clings to that stuff. Overall I think this is a great bluetooth speaker. It gives a good amount of range around 10-15 feet before losing any kind of sound quality and it last a pretty long time. It is definitely a must have if you like playing music in a big room. The handle is not retractable but it is a great way to hold and transport your bluetooth speaker. I am surprised at how BIG this device is. Doesnt hold a charge even when its on the charger. Wouldn't even play for longer than 2 mins without shutting off even after charging it for the recommended time right out of the box.

This review is for the LG RP4G XBOOM 360 Omnidirectional Portable Bluetooth Speaker. In the box you get the speaker itself, some instructions, and a power cord. Not a lot there but it has everything it needs to function. It has a built in light that can be adjusted via an app but it isn't very bright. The description of mood lighting is accurate here. Portability. This thing is technically portable but it just depends on the person. It isn't crazy heavy at around 13 lbs but it isn't light either. This would be great to take with you to the park or somewhere you wanted some bumping beats. If you had to take this somewhere on a longer walk or a hike I would personally find something else to play music with. While it isn't huge the size of the speaker makes it difficult to move around because the only real spot to grab it is the handle up top. This handle has no padding whatsoever and would not be comfortable to carry long distances. Setup and using it the first time. This is very easy to setup and all you need to do is remove it from the box and plug it in for a few hours until it is charged. It is pretty much ready to go out of the box other than the battery level, mine was dead and would not turn on. Once it's charged turn it on and select between usb, aux, or bluetooth input. I went with bluetooth and it worked great. For aux or usb there is a panel near the bottom of the speaker that hides all of those ports. Connecting to bluetooth was easy, the device was named LG RP4G and does not require a password. Loudness. This thing gets very loud on the max setting and can fill a room with music. It does not tend to carry very fully into other rooms but you can absolutely still hear it. At max volume the speaker is still clear and there is not distortion. I played many different genres through this and if what you are listening to has some bass to it you will really hear it with this speaker. I was surprised by the amount of bass here. It did have 360 degree sound as well and no matter where you were around it it sounded the same. Clarity. The speaker gets plenty loud and the clarity is pretty good as well. There were times where I felt like the bass should have been less or where the clarity did seem to suffer but this was only in some songs. It may have just been a clash of the settings and the artist. For the majority of things that played there were no clarity issues at all and it sounded like I expected it to on the default settings. Overall this is a nice speaker for a living room in my opinion. I plan on just leaving mine at home in a spot that it will look nice in because the sound goes everywhere in the room it is in. For me the only reason this would get less than 5 stars is the perceived value. I am not going to remove a star for this because value is extremely subjective so this comment will suffice. ... show more
