  • Horrible stand
I use this for a gaming screen and little else. I plug a computer into it, the end. So things like smart features and remote control have little meaning to me. The picture quality is everything, and it nails that. I'm coming from an older LG 4k OLED that I'm replacing due to horrendous burn in issues, I can say the picture is surprisingly improved. They've really brought the technology along in the last few years. Clarity of detail is better for sure, and gsync surprised me, the fluidity is noticably improved. I would give this thing 5 stars, but really I wanted to be petty and give it one for this. The stand is HORRIBLE. Whoever came up with this stand should be taken out back and hit with a baseball bat a few times. It took more than an hour just to figure out how to put it on, there were no instructions. I looked and even googled, nothing. Eventually figured it out by looking at pictures of the unit online. I've handled and mounted screens this size before alone without much trouble. This one was many times more difficult than anything like this should have ever been. I cannot stress enough that you should not attempt this alone. I'm not sure three people would have been enough to make it reasonably easy. There are two parts, the back end has to go on first and the screen falls forward once it is on. It will tip right over on a flat surface. And it sticks way out the back so you have to set the screen down on something screen side down to put it on, which is a very unsettling thing to do. I used a queen sized bed. Then you have to stand it up and hold it up as it tries to fall into you, and snap the front side of the mount into the back end. Then you have to tilt the whole thing backwards to screw the front bit into the back piece while trying not to tip it over backwards. Which is pretty hard to do since the back end sticks out so far and there's little up front to good onto except the screen itself. Note that this thing is heavy, and awkward, and super thin. I was sure I was damaging this thing while I was putting it on its mount. To my delight there does not seem to be any damage and the smudge of my face left from the time I had to pick it up from the front washed off. Definitely leave the plastic film on the screen until you have this thing mounted and placed. I needed a shower by the time I was done mounting this thing, as I was a sweaty mess and my arms were dead. Poor stand mount design, very very very poor. Very. Poor. ... show more

  • Pc Gaming
Pairing with a 3080 makes 4k playable. Low settings most games offer over 120fps, high atleast 60 without ray tracing. With the low input lag around 5.5ms (rtings.com) and a near instant response time it feels on par most 240hz -360hz monitors monitors imo. I would say only DYAC offers a clearer image in motion as long as your getting over 120fps ... show more

  • good heavy tv
Size: 65 Inch
it was shipped fast, don't trust the weight and size they were wrong. tracking is ok no signature needed like it says on the coponies profile page. it was shiped fedex i got there when they were traying to take it off the van with no help. it was close to 100 pounds, they did not seem like they were going to delever it where i wanted behind my house on the back deck. they did not have a handtruck. the driver asked for help so he did not drop it. it was double boxed with 2 really good edge protectors (tubes). the bottom had been dropped a few times but the original box was fine. i had no help and had a really hard time getting it on my stand. if you think 65 inch is easy to lift it's not. getting it on the 20 pound stand would be a bit easier. The warranty card is tapped to the outside of the box, i almost let my recycling truck take it by accident. I wish they put it on the main box, the tv is really nice. I updated the software right away, someone in the comments said not to but i wanted to know if it would work because my amazon app would stop working someday if it did not take updates. if you got the money for the new model it's 47% lighter, I could not afford it.. ... show more

  • Not so thin / Not so smart
Size: 77 in
Just received new LG OLED77C1PUB 77 Inch 4K Smart OLED TV from Beach Camera thru Amazon. Delivery service was excellent… I helped driver carry unit to my living room, and driver gave some helpful suggestions about box removal. Stand installation was acceptable using pictorial “instructions”. It’s important to bolt together the 2 base plates first, and then bolt this (heavy) assembly to the TV. I used thick foam packaging from the box to lay the TV face down and install the base (leaving all plastic wrap on the TV for protection until the base is on). Then it takes 2 strong backs to lift the whole TV onto a stand. (My small wife was not strong enough… get help!) Upon startup I was amazed at the picture quality… excellent, as reported by many others… and my reason for buying this OLED TV. When I tried to install my Spectrum TV app, I was bummed.. can’t do it. For reference, my previous 65-inch Samsung TV has this capability built-in. So, to make this not-so-smart LG TV smarter, I installed a ROKU stick. For anybody wondering why I use the TV app, I purchase just one cable line from Spectrum and then run 4 or 5 other TV’s, 2 computers, tablets, and cell phones via the house wi-fi router. Stupid me.. I assumed the very expensive LG TV was as “smart” as the Samsung. It was my intent ultimately to install the 77-inch TV like a picture on the wall…. just like all the photos on LG website and other advertisements. Well, the top half of the TV is only about 7mm (0.3 inches) thick.. an excellent wall offset. The only way to achieve this is to cut a hole in the wall to recess the bottom half of the TV… which is over 2 inches thick… oh, and the hole would be about17 inches by 63 inches!! Of course any installation like this would also require additional recess space for a retractable Vesa mount. Guess I won’t be doing a wall mount!…. The hole would need to go all the way through to the siding! For reference, my old 65-inch Samsung is only about 1.5 inches thick overall… maybe a better choice for wall mounting. Finally some notes about the remote. Make it smaller and get rid of the numbers… they’re not needed to run apps which I believe is what most of us use to watch TV.. Make the built-in apps programmable… not everybody uses “Disney” or “Netflix”. And who uses BOTH Google and Alexa?… give me one button programmable for one or the other. I wanted this to be a 5 star purchase because I really like the screen quality. But it was expensive, it’s not too “smart”, it’s thicker than I expected, and the remote has too much bloat. If it wasn’t so heavy and difficult handle, I would be asking Amazon to take it back. ... show more
