I had a thin cable but all I need it to do is lock my backpack closed so I’ll notice a thief. Either I’ll notice them trying to break the lock or I’ll see the damage and know somebody tried to steal or stole from me. For this purpose I think it’s good enough. I think mine may be used due to packaging (image included) but I can’t find anything wrong with it so I’m okay with that. It's great for locking many zippers together on a travel backpack. I am using it now traveling in South America. But I only have 'carry on' when flying so really do not how well it would holdup when baggage is checked in. The cable is long enough to go through six zipper tabs, but I, also, wonder how long the retractability of the cord will last. But so far, it seems worth the money. As an avid traveler, I always make sure to keep my luggage secure during trips. That's why I purchased the Lewis N. Clark Cable Luggage Lock for my snowboarding trip to lock up my board when I run into the pub to grab a drink and now use it for business travel to lock my luggage in the hotel rooms. I was extremely satisfied with the product, as it kept my belongings safe and secure throughout my travels. The lock was easy to use and the cable was flexible enough to fit through different types of zippers and luggage handles. I also appreciated the 3-digit combination lock, which allowed me to create a unique code that only I knew. The lock is sturdy and durable, and I have no doubt it will last me for many trips to come. The only thing I disliked about this lock is the confusion between the 2 buttons and 1 lever (one button is to unlock, one is to retract the cable, and the lever is to set your combo) that I mix up from time to time, this dos not take away from the function and security of the lock.
