This is the first time that I have used a roller bag as a carry-on, having always used a laptop (backpack style) bag before. Part of my trepidation was fear that I wouldn't be able to lift a roller bag above my head to store it properly. This bag is excellent however. I filled it completely full, with a mix of electronics and clothing and was still able to lift it easily. There are a lot of handy compartments and I especially loved the hidden flap behind the laptop sleeve for documents. It also fits easily into the overhead bin, so no worries about gate checking it. I have only taken it on one round trip so I can't speak for it's long-term durability but it seems solid so far. So I give it a 4 because once you've packed your clothes in (even after opening the expander zipper) there is little/no room for the electronics. I went on a 5 night excursion and really wanted to keep it to the one bag, but it just wasn't possible with a carry on. If I had only done maybe a 2 or 3 day trip perhaps it wouldn't be so cramped in there. I would recommend they add a hard barrier between the clothing side and the laptop pocket. Also, once full, the laptop pocket zipper can be really trick to get around the bottom corner. Otherwise, really like the bag. Looks good, operates well, strong rollers, etc. etc. ... show more

This suitcase is very well made! I had been doing a lot of research on the best bag to take on a European trip. Level 8 ticked all my boxes. 1. Price point was spot on. 2. Dimensions included wheels and handles( beware some don’t) and it fit well within the requirements. 3. Stylish color and look. 4 Attention to detail on inside construction 5. Most importantly the wheels were said to roll well on cobblestone. ( And they certainly did) I just returned from a trip and cruise to Italy and Greece. Packed enough clothes and toiletries for 2 weeks ( not an easy task but with lots of planning it can be done) wore everything I packed most things twice and did 0 laundry. Nothing got dirty or stinky but glad we didn’t stay another week! lol The zippers on the bag are smooth zipping and lock securely into to top lock. Fully packed my bag weighed just a tad over 23#’s. I did pack one change of clothes and a pj in my personals bag, but the suitcase was my main storage. The wheels were a dream on rough cobblestone streets. The handle felt nice and sturdy. The front flap storage pocket might be great for those traveling with a laptop but I did not use is except for paperwork as loading it with things does limit the amount of interior packing space. My only issue( no fault of the bag itself) was the last day of the trip I loaded my suitcase with my personal bag attached to the trolley handle , onto a bus… the ride was chaotic and the bags tipped over. Someone tried to lift both bags by grabbing the personal bag and slightly bent the suitcase handle. No significant visible damage but I was then unable to lower the handle back into the suitcase. After working on the internal mechanism (inside the zipper area in the bottom of the suitcase) I have been able to lower it back down except for the last inch and a half. I am currently contacting Level 8 to see what can be done. This is a great bag and I love it ! Would definitely buy another Level 8! Wish they made them lighter. Most bags empty run in the 610 pound range. This one comes in at about 6.9-7.9. Not horrible but every little bit helps when going thru security. ... show more

The carry-on that I have been looking for! Very roomy. Was on a business trip for a week internationally & I was able to pack everything I need in this carry-on luggage. My favorite part are the wheels. Rolls very smoothly. I love these that I bought another one. I have the blue and the black. Black one is my favorite. I have only used this for one trip but was super impressed. The additional front pocket was not as useful to me as I thought it would be but the additional storage pocket inside was and it acts as a barrier so things don't fall out when you open the suit case. It held a lot of clothing and was easy to maneuver around the airport. I may consider buying other sizes as well. ... show more
