I have to say, I am VERY pleased with these lights. Not only do they give you extra risers in case you want to make them taller, they also include one extra spiked stake and are SUPER easy to assemble. The instructions mention to open up the light to put the switch in the "ON" position, but these must be upgraded as the switch is easily accessible on the outside. Beautiful light, and they stay on almost all night long! Really happy with them, glad I ordered 8 boxes!! ... show more

**UPDATE** I Was contacted by manufacturer after review and already rec'd delivery of full replacement set of solar lights. I told them I only wanted the 1 that I was missing, but they told me they could not do that. Much better feeling about this company now. They made it right ! MISSING 1 light and ZERO customer support available for this item. I ordered this while on a break from redoing a flower bed (layout, plantings, mulch etc) and saw on sale. Weather didn't allow to me finish immediately so box sat in garage. Light emitted is ok, but I would have liked brighter. PRE STAKE ground. DO NOT just think you can stick these in, and do not press from top. Plastic. Tall height is accomplished by sticking 2 smaller plastic poles together. I only got 7 and ONLY option was to dig up all installed lights for return. Since I do not have box, nor want to dig up, looks like I'm S.O.L. *see edit* ... show more

Everyone of these are still working great. I have them on west side of house . We live in Florida, so lots of sun. They stay lit until about 5am. If I had them on south side of house I'm sure they would stay lit all night. Great product.

It’s a good light for the price. I noticed a lot of posts where the light or spikes are broken. I’m not 100% sure why this is, but all I can say is install the spikes first then add the light to the top after.

The media could not be loaded. My lawn guy has broken two of the posts with the weedwacker and clumsiness. Customer support will replace initial issues but non-responsive after your first go around. As for the lights...I love the lights and they actually stay on almost all night! Even in the shade they charge enough to do the job. The posts however? Pretty weak. But I came up with a super awesome solution for minimal expense (about $40) that makes these a great treatment in my yard and will make them last. Get yourself some GeilSpace 3/4" × 14" Pre-Cut Black Metal Pipe from Amazon and replace the flimsy plastic posts. You will have to fortify the nub because of the size issue. But it is easy. Just wrap it a few times with electrical tape to make it thicker for the pipe. What I did was wrap FIVE times with electrical tape and then use XHF 3/4 Inch Waterproof Heat Shrink Tubing over the electrical tape. You could do without this...but I like it as it keeps the tape from getting wrecked when you fit the pipe on there. Weirdly...if you try two of the heat shrink wraps here it is too thick to get the pipe on there...I spent an hour trying to cut one off after screwing that up. Last step, use a lil larger XHF 1-1/4 Inch Waterproof Heat Shrink Tubing as a final treatment to affix the post and make sure it is secure and stands straight. Just be sure things are straight up and down as the heat shrink cools down. Check out the end of my video. Once the heat shrink cools, it is ON THERE! Use a 1" stake to make a hole for these and just shove em in the ground. Don't push down on the light though...push from the post. They will look awesome and will be planted firmly and not get broken. REMEMBER, HEAT GUNS ARE DANGEROUS! WEAR HEAT GLOVES AND BE CAREFUL. ... show more

We've recently been updating as much outdoor lighting as possible to solar power. We quickly learned that you get what you pay for. We tried some cheap options and they would break going into the ground or the lights would only last a short time. We stumbled on these and are glad we did. They have strong bases that stand straight when placing in the ground. And the lighting is consistent throughout all 8 of the solar lights.
