Bought the bed with some concern about the firmness. I don’t like a bed that is too firm. I would call this bed a medium firmness. The bed puffed up to its shape almost instantly but probably expanded slightly more over the next day. First bed in a box. I was skeptical. Unboxing was intense. That box is a fortress! The tool included slipped through the outer plastic wrap easily. The mattress started making the inflation shhhhhhhhhh as soon as the outer layer was released. The second layer of vacuum pack plastic slit easily with the tool. BOOSH THWUMP it went big fast. Did I read the instructions? Yes! Yes I did. Very nice tidy instructions! Did I ignore them and promptly lay down on it? Yes! Yes I did! Soft, supportive. I can't tell if it's medium or firm. It's so weird! It's both? The support is firm and the contact is soft and medium? I hope it lasts a few years and holds the "just out of the box" quality. So I will wait like I'm supposed to now. I’m very wary when buying things like this online. You just never know. I have to say love this bed and so happy we bought it. We got a king and it went right up all the way. Didn’t have to wait 72 hours. The bed wasn’t too hard or soft right in the middle. We did have to get a topper though for extra cushion, I have a bad back so it helps.
