    • They are pretty but the holes are too small

I got these because they match my dishes. They are pretty but the holes are too small. There only 3 for salt and 2 for pepper. You get a workout trying to season your food because the pepper (fine grind) doesn't want to come out. They are also very top heavy and tip over very easily. I cannot recommend them unless they were "for show" and not "for use". I use them but should they break from falling over I would not replace them. ... show more

This very pretty tea-for-one set with matching teabag holder just caught my eye and I decided it would be the Lenox piece I wanted, just for me! It is pretty, of nice quality, weight and durability for china. I love the pink butterfly sitting on the lid! Style: Rice Bowls, Set of 4
First let me say that this is the bowl that comes with the 4 x 4, 16 piece set. The bowls in the set are marked by Lenox as Rice bowls and since I ordered both I know they are the same. It was a shot in the dark for me. The picture doesn't show the bowls have a blue morning glory (I think that's the correct identity) on the other side. And, yes, unlike the many other sized pieces, the pattern is all the same for each bowl. These are high sided and relatively deep. They wouldn't make the best pasta or salad bowl but great for chilis, soups, ice cream and various desserts. If you like the pattern in general, these will be pleasing to you. While the pattern goes completely around the bowl, it isn't overwhelming and might go with other solid colored sets of good, white china. I will use them not only with BM but also with my yellow and cobalt blue fiestaware. These are more delicate, but for dessert or soups/chili served on a small cobalt blue plate, just fine. I see us using these regularly. I added these bowls for the shape and they're light weight. I am disabled so the fiestaware we use daily can be heavy. Beautiful item. Just love the Butterfly Meadow from Lenox. Works well if you are looking for a nice cup of tea with an elegant delivery. Truly enjoy my afternoon tea time. Item has the white with the traditional flowers known for with the Butterfly Meadow design. Just beautiful.

    • A little gift for myself

I needed something to perk up the meal time and ordered this single Lenox Butterfly Meadow set. These dishes are so much better than my old set of non-Lenox dishes. My old dishes get too hot in the microwave (and, frankly, after 19 years are rather boring). The Lenox dishes also wash up easily.
