The rugged Leica DISTO™ X3 combines innovative measuring technologies with a site-proof design and simple user interface. Together with the Leica DST 360, the x-series can be turned into a powerful 3D capturing station. With the rugged IP65 rating and drop tested up to 6’, the DISTO X4 is up to the task of handling tough jobsite conditions. The housing and keypad are water jet and dust protected making cleaning a breeze by rinsing under running water. With our innovative tilt sensor and smart room capability, you can easily determine horizontal distances with absolute precision. You can even use your measurement data to automatically generate realistic and scaled floor plans with the DISTO™ plan app (available for iOS and Android). lastly, the display automatically rotates in line with the orientation of the device; meaning you can easily read the screen from any angle.

Got the wrong style twice last 2 dights were 33 not 34. 34 measures to 1/4 in 33 gose to 1/32in. So I'll wait till my first stimulus comes after taxes come out and get the X4 instead.

Great product. The only feature I use is the offset feature so that I can mount the unit to a mono stick and measure heights. Works great outside in the bright sunlight, usually had to issues hitting at least 50' when in the sun. Indoors in the dark it definitely goes a lot farther. The only downside is that when you set the offset, it uses the offset even when measuring from other edges of the disto. ... show more

    • Use it daily for work.
Bought for work, I use a different model daily and wanted to upgrade. Bought it specifically to use in conjunction with my iPad for a specific estimating program. I was happy to discover that the Leica app is much more useful when using this device.

    • Love it, just stopped working
Stopped working yesterday. Purchased sept 2022. just beeps when you turn it on. No button responds after you turn it on. I worked with Support, they had me attempt to reset it with no luck. Hopefully it will be replaced by the seller and returned to the manufacture.

    • This is not the 850834, it is the 850833
False advertisement or the seller doesn't know the difference. Ordered once before from this seller and received the correct "34" model, but this time i received the 850833 instead. This (850833) unit cannot be converted to measure to the 1/16 of an inch like the "33" unit and that is what I need it to do. Called Leica and they said this was a Japanese model and what I need is the US model. When you get your unit, take out the batteries and check the ART# to make sure you received what you ordered. This model is not US model as it ends in the 33 but the description indicates it is model 850834. The units of measure for the model 850833 doesn't allow for 1/16" which will drive most people crazy. I made all software updates too hoping that would help. I finally called manufacturer and found out the problem but it is now past the amazon return date. ... show more
