Usually the 11 year old can put together Lego sets in an afternoon. This took 3 weeks, gave him a great challenge, and he loved the moving parts. Definitely a gift for the Lego person who needs a challenge. Well built, solid, good looking car in the end too.

I bought it for my 9 year old son as he loves building lego and blocks. He spent good time on it for 2 days to finish it. I love how he was having fun putting each piece, looking into details, thinking how the engine operates while putting the pieces in the car motor. He googled some stuff about race cars and Lamborghini as he was fascinated by the end product. The size of car is good and I put it in his room. This is what he wanted for Christmas, but was too difficult for him even though he is an amazing Lego builder . His Dad and him spent 3 hours assembling this.

I bought this set for my 10yo who often does sets rated 14+ and 18+. He thought this was the most difficult set he’s done. In party, some steps required pushing a piece into multiple stick pieces and it was tricky to line them up. Also the directions for putting the door on were not as helpful as typical Lego directions.
