I like the moving parts, such as the shooting projectiles, and especially the switch to move the wings in and out of an X. It is a little hard to build at first, but I was able to follow the instructions and complete it all by myself. It think this would be a good toy for kids 8 years and older. I like this set (and who doesn't like Star Wars Lego sets) due to the variation in colors as most Lego X-Wing Sets are mostly white with slight color accents whereas this set has the blazing orange colors that make up the back half. I like the selection of minifigs that come with the set as well.

Just like any Lego, it looks great. It’s kind of hard to mess up with Lego sets except sometimes they’re a little block you but the sad looks really good and having the wings move from flat to XWing is cool. Let’s be honest about Legos- adults are the actual assembly personnel, but the enjoyment that my nephew gets out of it is worth it. I bought the standard packaging because I was giving this as a gift, instead of frustration free packaging aka plain cardbord box. Item arrived but box is dented. Great model. The shooting lasers, guns and wing action are awesome. The stereo by step assembly instructions are easy to follow as with all Lego kits. If you are a Star Wars fan, this is ther kit for you.
