  • Great Fun
Color: Multicolor
My son has had this for months. He loves it. You can build and program and then there are several other activities to build and code. It's a great buy for a Star Wars LEGO lover.

  • Best combination in a LEGO set
Color: Multicolor
This review is for LEGO Boost Droid Commander set. This set is amazing, the best combination of LEGO set, Star Wars theme and STEAM activities. Can be used for ages below that indicated in the box if a parent is involved. It could be intimidating for a non-tech person used to regular LEGO, but a total hit for engineering oriented people. Great purchase. ... show more

  • Great product with cool electronic instructions
Color: Multicolor
I really like this product and the instructions that are on the iPad. It's a great way for kids to learn about electronics! My only complaint is that there is only one robotic motor, so you can build all three droids but only one can move at a time. For the $$ I wish they would have included multiple motors for simultaneous use. ... show more

  • No directions!
Color: Multicolor
We had to go on a lot of websites and apps just to figure out how to build (no books). Also no instructions are included about what to do after the robots are built

  • Deceptive advertising and packaging - Only one robot at a time
Color: Multicolor
Packaging seems to imply that you'll get 3 robots. All the photos show them as a set. Problem is, there's only one hub/motor/sensor set so only one robot can work at a time. Even the Amazon description implies 3 robots but doesn't say only one at a time. Just the motor hub is $80 on Lego.com. The additional motor and sensor brings the electronics set pretty close to the full purchase price. Poor form Lego. The instructions are via the app. This is disappointing given that Lego instructions are iconic to the set. As a collector, I collect the instructions booklets from my kids sets and store them safely. This set only has a quick start guide that points you to the app. It's about 10 pages long. The rest is via the app. Only assembled the Mouse droid so far but there was some fit issues like: wheel base not sitting well (despite following cable management instructions, and the side panel motor getting hung up on neighboring pieces. I removed some pieces to get it to work smoothly. Last issue I had was a forced firmware update when first connected. It kept failing with a cryptic, non-helpful error message. Many retries didn't correct it. Restarting the app, and then restarting from scratch finally got it to take. ... show more

My grandson who is only 7 put this together. Even the adult city shows it to are very impressed with the software and the sounds and the droid. On the improvement would be to make the sound come out of the robot and not out of the phone

  • Missing pieces and no instructions
Color: Multicolor
We have purchased thousands of Legos over the years and this is the first time it is actually missing several pieces. In addition, not only does it not include instructions, it doesn’t tell you where online to find instructions to build this set.
