  • Great set, buy while you can!
As for the delivery of the item, it came within a few days and was decently packaged. The box of the set was damaged; big crease down the side, and some dents on the other, but given that I got this for 2/3 the retail price and have no interest in collecting sealed sets, I don’t mind. All pieces inside, as well as the instructions, were undamaged and accounted for. If you have an interest in collecting sealed product, though, I would suggest looking at your local retail store instead. Now, for the set itself. The set has three separate builds, that you can connect together in a variety of fashions using a handful of 2x4 plates they include in the set. There’s a village house, a small merchant shop with an Acacia tree, and a small farm. Across all three, there are 3 biomes represented in the builds (Desert, Savanna, and Badlands/Mesa), which allows for some decent connect-ability with other LEGO Minecraft sets, especially since the three modules can be easily detached from one another and moved around with no issues (if you are looking for sets to go with this one, I would suggest The Trading Post from 2021 or The Llama Village from 2022). The house is probably the best looking of the three, and the roof can be detached with ease to allow access to the inside. Included are also some small things, like white glazed terracotta blocks, a bookshelf, an armor stand, and hay bales, all of which are uncommon, and in the case of white glazed terracotta, new. The set comes with 5 minifigures, 2 animals, and the Ravager. The player figure, Kai, is meant to be the same Kai from LEGO’s Ninjago theme, just in a Minecraft style, and will be exclusive to this set, just like all player figures. The set comes with 2 desert Villagers, both have a slightly different torso printing from one another, and as of now they are both exclusive to this set as well, though have a chance to be re-released in future sets. The set also has two Illagers; a Vindicator and a Raid Captain. Both figures come in other sets, but this is the cheapest and easiest way to get them. The pig is nothing new, it’s a very common animal and if you collect Minecraft sets, you likely have at least one. The cat, though, is a new variant with calico colors and will be exclusive to this set, just as all cats are. Now for probably the biggest selling point of this set, the Ravager. Quite a large amount of pieces go into building this guy, and he is quite big compared to a normal figure. His legs don’t move, and are kind of tedious to build, but he can connect to LEGO pieces perfectly fine. He also has a play feature, where you pull on the lever attached to his back and he’ll headbutt things, just like in the game. This feature does use a rubber band for the build, though, which may be a turnoff for some people. It’s also pretty easy to remove the lever if you don’t like it. He also has a spot on his back so a figure can ride him :) The Ravager will probably never be included in another set, solely because it uses so many pieces (the Ghast used a similarly large amount and we haven’t gotten it in 4 years). So, if you want the Ravager, I would buy this set as soon as you can. One thing worth mentioning is that this set will likely retire soon, either late this year or early next year. It came out in January of 2020 (the start of the dark ages) and sets typically retire 2-3 years after they release. When it retires, the price will skyrocket and you’ll no longer be able to buy it at retail stores. So, if you or your child has any interest in this set at all and can afford the 40-60$ price tag, buy it while you can. You won’t regret it. No stickers are included here, either, just like all Minecraft sets. Everything is printed :) Overall, the set is pretty solid, has some exclusive and uncommon figures, and has great value. I’d highly recommend :) ... show more

  • Love legos
My son wanted a Minecraft Lego for Christmas. He was so happy when he opened this! He was 6 at the time and able to build this all on his own. We’ve found Minecraft ones are a little easier to build. They don’t have as many intricate little pieces. I will say some of the other Lego types (HP, JPark) they played with a little more. Once this was built he didn’t really do much with it. Is was a little basic and didn’t have a lot of bells in whistles like some of the other ones. But still a great purchase. We love legos! ... show more
