The gates are big enough for the T-Rex to hide behind, then you open them for the big reveal. By itself, the T-Rex is just a feat of Lego engineering. My son is a huge dinosaur and Jurassic Park/World fan, when he saw this LEGO set he was super excited. We got it for his 10th birthday and he immediately started working on it. It took him 14 total hours to assemble it by himself and it is amazing. The T-Rex itself is spectacular and then the gate is just amazing. He had it put together in about 4 days (not consistently working on it). it is a bit fragile if you bump it or depending how you move it, some pieces fall off but go right back on. I love the Jurassic Park movies and was so excited when this came out. It’s been sold out at my local Lego Store. When I saw Amazon had it I had to swoop it up. It’s sold by Lego sad I couldn’t get the points for it. But very happy I got the set.
