As a fan of both Fender and Lego, I decided to treat myself to this set and let me tell you I was not disappointed! You get to build your own Lego amp from inside out and you “string” your Lego guitar board. The booklet also provides some history about Fender and the Stratocaster which is neat. Two color options for the body is also a plus as you can switch it up any time you like. Overall it’s a great set for music and Lego lovers alike, it’s fun to build and looks great on display.     • Why is it making sounds?

At first, I was very confused as to why my Fender electric guitar and amp came disassembled. Not a single piece was put together so it wouldn't make a single sound! I had thought I would be able to take it out of the box and get straight to practicing but that was not the case. However, after patiently putting it together following the instructions which were very nicely included, it all came together to be what I expected when purchasing. While putting it together though, my niece came over for an early Thanksgiving dinner and observed as the guitar was being finished. Then she told me something so peculiar I had a hard time believing her. This Fender is a Lego?? whatever that means... What is a Lego? Is that a knock-off brand of Fender?? Confusing... My niece then explained that it was just a toy meant for children to put together and for it to be displayed. In disbelief, I grabbed the guitar, connected it to the amp, and started strumming. Actual sounds came out! You should've seen the shock on her face it was priceless! All in all, I knew it was a real guitar, how could I have bought the wrong item, that would be outrageous considering I am always right. ... show more

We thought this set would be way bigger than the actual size... My son thought this was a really easy and cool Lego set. He's 19 and is getting into more adult like Legos. He got it done in less than an hour. Cool thing is you can do either red or black color.
