The light deserves 4-5 stars, the mounting system 0. The fact that an extra set of mounting stickers is included is a sign the first set will eventually fail and the light will come crashing down. Mine did. Luckily, it did not break. The light is bright without being harsh. No annoying LED dots are visible. Being rechargeable is also a great feature. However, unless you can mount this light on metal, you are in for trouble. The light is only magnetized on the ends, not all the way across, so the middle section of the metal mounting strip that comes with it is superfluous if you are mounting on wood. Hopefully I have solved the problem by purchasing 1x2-inch steel mending braces. I screwed the plates (2 per light) to the underside of the cabinets. (Position them so they will correspond with the magnetized areas at each end of the light.) Once installed, the light will snap very firmly to these steel plates and stay there. No destined-to-fail stickers needed. The manufacturer owes it to the consumer to include secure mounting plates. ... show more

I charged both lights to full when I unpackaged them. I placed them under the cabinets with motion sensitivity enabled. Both lights worked like a charm recognizing movement and lighting up. Then this morning, one of the lights fails to come on. One is working like normal now, but the other will not recognize motion no matter how close I am to the sensor. I recharged the faulty light to see if it was a power consumption problem, and it is not. Still fails to light up not matter how much motion there is. A few days later... I believe I understand why the motion control isn't working at certain times. I have these all placed in my kitchen. During the day when sunlight fills the room, the infrared motion sensors cannot pick up my movements since there might not be a change in the infrared spectrum. When the sun goes down, the motion sensors finally work as advertised. Perhaps this can be confirmed by someone else (or the manufacturer). ... show more

I usually don't leave reviews because most products I buy preform as to their requirements but these lights are so awesome and I'm going to buy some more. I store my work equipment in the back of my car and the little trunk lite that comes with the car is crap. I got these lites and now it's no problem finding my stuff in the back of the car. they're brite, don't run off the car battery and so your not wondering if you turned them off or not and your not coming back to a car that isn't going to start. these are really so nice to have. thanks I love them. ... show more

After noticing the hit-and-miss behavior of the motion sensor, I took one apart (can’t resist, I’m a nerdy kid at heart). Sure enough, on the switch-side of the motion eye, there appears to be a tiny photocell. This should not come as a surprise; most inexpensive motion lights only operate in the dark and the first paragraph of the Item Description states “detects movement in dark or night”. This extends the battery-life by not wasting operation time in well-lit circumstances. If you want EXTRA light under your cabinet, this might not work for you (unless you perform electronic-surgery and cover the photocell with tape, like I did). It would have been easier if it was designed with a “daytime adjustment” or a small opening to defeat the photocell, but it is internal under the cover, near the motion-eye. ... show more

    • Doesn’t work like promised

Great idea but doesn’t work like promised. Received them yesterday, charged them, the off button works, also on button, the sensor one works when it wants to. At first wouldn’t activate ( fully charged ) then all of a sudden it worked, then no, then kept coming on and off and I wasn’t close. Today would not activate at all. On and off worked, battery was good but if you want or need that feature you get what you pay for. My under the cabinet lights are great and just needed this for a smaller section that I always work at..I just wish there was more pride and honesty and quality in the products. These lights are very thin (about 1/2 inch) so they can be placed anywhere you want without being in the way. They look nice when they're installed and installation is super easy with no tools needed. There is a large thin magnet already attached to the back of the light and another magnet the same size is included, along with several pieces of double sided tape. Simply click the two magnets together and then put tape on the top of the magnet. Once the tape is applied, stick the light wherever you want it. The light is very bright but doesn't need batteries so you'll save a lot of money over the long-run. When it's time to recharge the light carefully slide the two magnets apart to remove the light. Two USB charging cables are included but they're only 2 ft long, so you'll probably want to plug them into your computer. However, if you want to plug them into the wall you will need an adapter (not included). Another company's price on Amazon for this product is more but they are the same lights, so get them from this company and save money. ... show more

Great little lights, but they only stay on a few seconds, even with continued motion. If I want to use as a work light, I need to turn them on. Fact that they can be recharged with a USB charger and they can easier be removed and used in another location makes them desirable.
