I do like them BUT the sensor faces down when mounted under a cabinet. I even made a spacer so they would hang even with the lip of the under cabinet, and before permanent adherence, I taped up the spacer and light to test, and it worked great. So I affixed them permanently and the sensor just will NOT pick up movement unless you purposely trigger them. Does not work as intended under cabinets, period. I'll repurpose them in the pantry where I can mount them on the ceiling so the sensor directly faces any possible movement. ... show more

I was looking for something that would give me some light as I walk to my shoe rack going into my garage in the pitch darkness of 5:00 a.m. and I came across this light unit that works so right for me. Easy Installation: Setting up these motion sensor lights is straightforward and quick. Method 1(for metal surfaces): Attach the light to any metal surface and it with stay put with its built in magnet on back. Method 2 (for non-metal surfaces): Place the double-sided adhesive tape to the metal plate that comes with the light unit and place the non-tape side of the metal plate on the back of your lighting unit. Now remove the paper to expose the sticky surface so you can mount your lighting unit wherever you would like. The reason you use the metal plate is so that when you need to recharge your lighting unit you can just pull your lighting unit away leaving the metal plate on its mounting surface and allowing you to recharge your lighting unit and placing it back later. Be very sure you know where you want to mount your lighting unit(s) using the double- sided tape method because when you mount it and want to reposition your lighting unit a little one way or another or to another location it can be difficult to do. I first mounted to my wall, was not satisfied, wanted it a little higher so as I was removing the metal plate (I bent it in a few places and was able to bend it back) the tape was stuck onto the plate and the wall. I had a tough time removing the tape from both areas (please see attach photos), I have to do a little repainting. I read that another customer had the same problem when he attached his lights to a wooden surface and wanted them somewhere else. He did not say how badly his wood surface was damaged. He just stated he had an awful time removing the tape from both areas with a lot of scrubbing and other cleaning methods. ... show more

These lights are definitely a home essential for your low-light areas. Even though it is a simple product it does many things right: Easy Installation: Setting up these motion sensor lights was straightforward and quick, it involved non-damaging materials to quickly and securely place these lights. Motion Detection Accuracy: The lights are very sensitive to motion so they consistently detect movement within their range and turn on promptly, providing adequate illumination. Aesthetics: these lights are a great aesthetic addition as they provide a bright warm light that compliments its surrounding. The lights do come with some problems that hinder its 5-star potential: longevity: Since they are sensitive to motion, the lights will turn on regardless of the time of day or surrounding light so if the area is well-lit at the time and it detects motion, it will turn on and stay on until there is no longer any motion, so it will use energy all throughout the day and may not turn on when it is needed. ... show more

The only reason it’s not a 5 star is possibly the material of my cabinets…but I was really disappointed it didn’t stick to the under side of my kitchen cabinets. They’re very bright and the way they detach from the sticky magnetic side is really convenient. The motion sensor worked really well, they honestly would make good replacement for candles incase of a power outage! The charge has a good lifespan. Just reordered more. They are high quality, highly functional and I’m sure we’ve saved tons on a professional installation. The lights are very thin so in our case, they are out of sight which gives a very elegant look to the shelves and cabinets when illuminated. I love the motion sensor feature, especially in the kitchen while prepping meals. We rarely leave them on for extended periods and we seem to only need to charge them every two months or so. If left on, they last for several hours. The metal strip that the lights connect to magnetically as well as the provided usb cables makes dismounting for charging simple. Great buy! ... show more

I've not used these enough yet to judge convenience based on recharge frequency but in general they seem amazing. I've bought 2 sets and have a 3rd in my cart now. Looking for excuses to mount them in places I'd not though of yet. The current top review here mentioned they come on ALL the time with motion, regardless of light. Mine don't do that. If there's enough light in the kitchen, they stay off. But when it's dark, they are quick to see me and come on. That simple feature could have been omitted to save cost but it's essential to maximize the battery life and just adds to the value. A bit pricey, but I'm feeling I got my moneys worth considering the overall design, quality of light output, and ease of use. Especially with the magnets. I stuck one underneath my metal range hood to light up the kitchen. The extra mounting pads is a nice touch - many skimp on that sort of thing. ... show more

I regret buying these. 1) They are overpriced. 2) the “motion sensors setting works by turning on the lights when they sense motion. However it only keeps the light on for less than a minute.
