The SEO 7R is a rechargeable head torch from LED Lenser which is superbly comfortable and designed to offer great performance, whatever your needs. Featuring Smart Light Technology and Advanced Focus System. Other features include dimming function which regulates the output of the light power with regards to the reflecting light, so glare can be avoided. The dimming function which remembers the last setting used and offers a beam brightness control from 100% power down to 15% power and advanced focus system which offers a focused beam for more light intensity bringing up to twice as much light as conventional beams, and a defocused mode which gives a round light for reading and close range. Smart Light Technology offer numerous features to help adapt to any situation. Additional features include Transport Locking for ensuring that the light doesn't turn on/off accidentally. Head Stageless Swivelling offers you the adjust-ability to focus on what you want and at just 90 grams, won't weigh you down either.

    • The best headlight I own

This is the best headlamp I own, and I own many different ones. Main modes supported, full power, preset dim (15-100%), auto dimming (based on detected reflected light level), full power signal flash (approx 1Hz), red light (night vision saver) and red light flash (approx 1Hz). In normal operation Smart Light Technology auto dims the full power mode to extend battery life, though this can be overidden to provide constant full light output with reduced battery duration. The light output can be focused to a pencil beam or wide angle flood and anywhere in between. This headlamp saved my bacon recently. Unexpectedly caught out in mountain snow conditions, this light burned brightly for over 6 hours non-stop and enabled me to reach safe ground in one piece. The wide angle flood setting was particularly useful in the snow conditions I encountered as I decended 900 metres following a poorly defined track, believe me, good peripheral lighting is very useful in these conditions. As a result I rate this headlamp very highly. Update: As an experiment, I recently cycled the headlamp rechargeable battery from full to empty with the headlamp fully dimmed. The lamp remained on continuously for a little over 16 hours before switching itself off. ... show more

Good light but since you must open the case to charge it it only gets 3 stars. I use it daily at work so it's a pain to open it up each evening to recharge.
