I like these. They're versatile and the lantern function works well too, it fully lights up the room. They're lightweight and compact and they produce about as much light as the pop up camping lanterns but are much more compact and lighter. Good for travel where space and weight is an issue. The solar collector is pretty big so it can recharge the battery if there's good sun. I haven't done much sun charging but will update review if I have any problems. Having the USB connector to do charging is nice because one can recharge these using an external power bank or an external solar collector array in case one wants to do faster charging or needs a backup power reserve. The light lasts for a few hours from the charge from the wall outlet. When charged it has a very strong concentrated flashlight beam. You can point it about 25-30 feet to easily see small objects at night. Recommend. ... show more

it came with no instructions at all. Had to figure out how to turn the side light on by guessing (hold power button for 3 seconds). Good, bright light, with enough and not too many features. Magnet on the base is a nice touch. The main issue I have is the belt clip on it is NOT tempered spring steel, and bends way too easily at the weak points under the screws. If you carry it on your belt or clipped to a pocket or strap, the clip will get weaker and break pretty quickly with frequent use. I had this problem with another light of this type, with exact same clip, and have not found a replacement. ... show more

I really like this solar flashlight. I have not charged it yet other than using solar to charge it and it has stayed charged for months. It has several different functions that you can use for light. I usually just use the flashlight function. Although to turn this off you have to go through every function before it turns off which is a annoyance but since it's such a good flashlight I can live with that. The light is very bright.
