This seems to be a very good fertilizer . This particular bottle specifies that it is for pumpkins . Yes, I will plant a few pumpkins come spring. So looking forward to using this to see how well they do for me. I am a bit confused because I also read all the other versions for different vegetables and also for houseplants . They are all 5-1-5 fertilizer . So I’m guessing it won’t matter what plant I use this fertilizer on? I actually wanted the tomato version as I’d read on different gardening sites that tomato fertilizer might help my zig zag cactus get in the mood to bloom . Plus I definitely plant tomatoes with so so success every summer . Since I could not get the tomato version as it wasn’t available at the time I was ordering. I went ahead and ordered this pumpkin version…since it’s all listed as 5-1-5 fertilizer. Upon receiving this product , I mixed up a “ light “ dose of the fertilizer and gave all my houseplants that are unhappy inside a good drink, including the non flowering zig zag cactus. I must say , my plants ALL look better. The zig zag cactus looks especially happy. Thicker heavier leaves already. And it hasn’t been a week since I dosed them with this fertilizer! I’m pretty impressed! I look forward to using this in a few months when it will be outdoor gardening time. This product is easy to use, does not smell, and it’s working on my houseplants !     • Very Expensive
I have grown many thousands of plants over the years, and am fairly adept at fertilizer and plant needs. Nothing wrong with this fertilizer...except for the price!! Holy smokes...look elsewhere at this price point. I use a high end national brand that comes in a 16 ounce bottle for 15 bucks. Numbers are 3-2-6 as opposed to Leaves and Soul's 5-1-5...plant won't notice much. Plants are highly adaptable...and the fertilizer I use WORKS very well. Here's the rub...not only is this twice the cost per ounce (almost)...the mix ratios are far worse. My 'other' fert is 4 TEASPOONS per gallon. (heavy feed rate) Leaves and Soul is 4 TABLESPOONS per gallon (heavy feed rate) 8 ounces...4 tablespoons equals two ounces. You get 4 heavy feeds with this...what??? Half the amount of fertilizer and my original is used at a rate 2.5 times MORE than my liquid fertilizer. No Thanks...NO. ... show more

    • My pumpkins were stagnant on growth and didn't even vine
I had high hopes for this fertilizer as pumpkins are the biggest part of my garden and I look forward to them the most. I used the leaves and soul pumpkin fertilizer over the period of 8 weeks into my garden until the bottle was empty, the growth was so slow and it was apparent. Initially we added fresh topsoil with manure and then started using the fertilizer in the area where I was planting. After a huge stagnant growth I knew that there was something wrong. Plenty of sunlight, the right amount of water and adding fertilizer to help give the right balance of food and still stagnant growth. As of last week my pumpkins were just a few large leaves with very minimal shoots to start growing vines. I unfortunately gave up and went out and bought miracle grow and after using that 6 days ago, my pumpkins are now growing. So I am 9 weeks into planting, 8 weeks into the seed germinating and coming out of the ground and my pumpkins are now growing. Unfortunately I also used the zucchini version and the watermelon version and had the same effect. I thought maybe my soil, but it was turned over, added additional compost and manure and the same in each place. I love that it is made in America, but disappointed that it didn't do anything for me. ... show more
