  • Serviceable Stand, Assembly Tips 15-30HP Stand
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
This is a perfectly serviceable stand that you will be happy with as long as your expectations aren't too high. I bought it to be able to easily move my 9.9hp outboard around the garage and into the driveway, and it serves that purpose well I would not use this stand on sand or gravel, or for carting your engine long distances. And I probably wouldn't use this stand for a 20 or 30hp engine either. If you're looking to use it for those things you shouldn't be looking at this price point. This is poorly manufactured for weight bearing. While the V irons are substantial and bear the weight of the axle, the uprights are not fully supported because the assembly holes will not line up at the U shaped piece on the front. In order to make it fit you have to keep all the bolts very loose to give you the slack necessary to make all the holes line up. Once you do you'll see that the uprights are not fully cradled in the V irons. As a result, the weight is borne less by the V irons and more by the bolts through the thin wall of the tubing. This is why I wouldn't put anything much heavier than a 15hp engine on it. Tips for assembly: There are three different lengths of bolts, two of which are so close that it isn't apparent when you have hardware laid out. 4 short bolts for the V Irons 10 long bolts 4 extra long bolts for the wood board The long bolts and extra long bolts are so close in size that you can mix them up so try testing them through the wood board and the upright tube. Only four of them will fit through with enough thread left to screw on the nut. As you're assembling it leave everything super loose; do not tighten down any of the nuts. You'll need everything loose so that you can get all the holes lined up. If you even "hand tighten" the nuts you'll run into a problems later. Just thread the nuts on the bolts enough so that they don't fall off. Then when everything is together you can go back and tighten everything down. ... show more

  • Quick to assemble and does the job
Color: WOODEN-5 to 15HP Folding-1
The instructions is just a picture. You guess which screw to use by the number of screws required for the picture ocation. It is sturdy enough for my use. The wheels are tight so I needed to use pressure to get the cotter pin in. I like the fact that there is some friction on the wheels while moving it around. My motor is an electric outboard with 3-4hp from Torqeedo. You don't get the starting kick like a gas motor so I can easily run it on the stand. ... show more

  • Too bad they used a monkey to write the directions
The materials that came with this are sturdy except for the stupid designed screw heads. The wheels are top quality and all finally went together correctly and is a quality small engine stand. Picture diagram horrible. No completion photo. The instructions were created by a fool. Still it is a good buy if you have an over abundance of patience. ... show more

  • Very very bad quality control.
In this world I have become relatively tolerant of cheaply made products but this one absolutely is a jump below the worst I have ever seen. The first indication was that there was no instructions. After going to the product page I noticed there was a video about the assembly of the product. The next was when going over all the parts and bolts I noticed that there was a odd amount of nuts and one totally different than the rest. Later was by far the biggest as I found that the drilled holes did not match and were off center cosing the bolts no not go through properly. I at first that that this was my fault for having no instructions I thought I had assembled it incorrectly. Nope... It was totally of center. I was able to solve this by using a drill to grind out the hole so the bolt would go through ( compromising the structure I was afraid ) Nope it was already compromised by being incredibly of balanced. The moment I finally had it assembled ( finding another wrong nut on the wheel assembly in the process ) I found that when I placed my 6hp tahatsu motor and pulled it a bit forward toward myself it over balanced itself and wanted to flip over. So in writing this I want to sincerely plead with you to never ever even consider this product. ... show more

  • Great little outboard stand.
I don’t think for 100 bucks you could find a better stand. I have my 30 HP on it but saids it’ll hold up to a 115 HP, and I believe it. Yes is made in China but it’s heavy duty, very easy to put together, and easy to push when fully loaded. Too bad the US can’t build this at a reasonable price. Mine came from Amazon in 3 days. It was packed well and all parts were there. ... show more

  • Poor assembly instruction and poor alignment of holes.
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
I was expecting a little better from this manufacturer. Yes it is sturdy when assembled, but I had to loosen and retighten every screw at least twice because at each point of assembly, holes were not even close to lining up. Instructions are a joke to say the least. Thankful I am a mechanic and can make sense of the scribbling instructions. Screw heads are a slotted truss head design and very shallow slots so they can be very easily damaged or ruined if not careful and using good quality screwdrivers. NO mention of what screw goes where either. 3 different lengths so up to the person to figure what one goes where. Apparently over in China where this came from, they have a different left and right from ours here as the handles were marked incorrectly, so more disassembly and reassembly. Also, the cart is too upright and easily tipped over foreward without a motor on it, and even then all to easy to tip forward. Old carts used to be made so the mounting board was at least close to a transom angle so the motor would be somewhat upright. This one is straight up so it is impossible to have the motor vertical even when trimmed all the way in. I collect and restore vintage motors and have a good collection of new and old carts. This one rates only as acceptable compared to others in my opinion. I will not reorder this one for any future needs. ... show more

  • A BOAT YARD BEAST, NOT a SHOPPING CART!
The media could not be loaded. Ahoy! Captain OC Jamie here, this product is very impressive. Balances the motor well with plenty of room to wrench or store. Rolls with a sturdy and smooth easy. Have a 9.9hp on however this could handle much more. Front wheels are good soft rubber so it does note feel like a shopping cart. Only room for improvement would be better hardware, but the provided bolts are adequate. I am buying an additional one. ... show more
