Although it’s a very small vial. To think that these vials back in the day you could go to the perfume counter to get for free. I came across this scent on a lady and it smelled wonderful. Santal 3s online is quite high. Getting a sample of Le Labo Santal 33 was my desire after analyzing the notes and forming a scent in my mind. I had forgetten just how tiny the amunt of fluid is in a sample. I put some on my neck and kept getting this wonderful whisper of a scent all day and up to the next morning. It is a hypnotic perfume. This was supposed to be shipped new. The label on the box that seals the box together had been cut open. The box was stuffed with what appears to be bathroom paper towels in addition to the regular black gift tissue paper. The cap has some kind of nasty substance inside of it and possibly mold? There are tiny black spots on the top inside of there. I have never tried this fragrance or brand before so I have no way of telling if it's the actual product inside and since the label had been cut open, I can't be sure it's new or original. I'm very upset as this was very expensive. I have never sent anything back before and I'm not even sure how to do that ,so that's another thing that is upsetting because I don't have a printer and have to go out of my way to find someone to print a return label for me and go to the post office and figure out how to return it. The packing slip also says new condition. An opened box, filled with bathroom paper towels and a nasty cap is clearly not in new condition. Do better. ... show more

I smelled this perfume on a woman last year while attending a conference in Miami. She and I were sitting next to each other and every so often she'd move and the air would fill with this divine fragrance. When we had a moment I asked her the name and complimented her. She was so happy for the compliment as it was a new purchase for her, she said it was expensive, around $300, and she'd decided to splurge to have it for this convention. Later I looked for it in stores in my area so I could spray and see if I liked it but no one carried it, so I pretty much dismissed it. One day while simply browsing Amazon, this pandemic has given me lots of time to do that, I thought of that fragrance and 'voila', there it was! And to make it better a sample vial at $20, couldn't go wrong although my husband thought I was crazy to pay that much for a small sample, he just doesn't get it!, lol It arrived within days, wrapped very carefully and not a drop spilled. I was so excited! The vial is smaller than your typical perfume sample vial received from the cosmetics counter (see my picture) but is full and a little truly goes a long way. I wasn't sure how I felt about this fragrance when I initially tried it, the top note always leaves me a little confused, but after a few minutes I'd find myself constantly sniffing my wrist or the top part of my clothing closest to my neck as the fragrance kept drawing me. It lasts for hours and you get occasional whiffs of soft and lovely. Definitely different with a sophiscated and alluring scent, something a confident person would wear. It's not your wear every day perfume, at least not for me, but will be one that will leave a lasting memory. I will buy the large bottle. ... show more

I was at a restaurant and this lady walked by and I caught a whiff of her perfume and loved it so much I stopped her and asked what it was. It’s very woodsy. She said Le Labos so I looked it up and decided to buy a sample size to make sure I liked it. The sample is smaller than typical perfume samplers and while it does smell the same to me, the scent wore off quickly. I think if it were real parfume like advertised, the scent would last all day. This was good for about 3 hours. If I decide to order a bigger bottle I will order directly from Le Labos. ... show more

    • Unusual scent
It’s the smallest sample I have ever seen! At first I thought I didn’t like it but it grows on me and I am 80 years old. It’s very hard to describe. If I had to, I would say it is like a walk in the woods near a lake.
