I had to refer to the video assembly because I place the cross bar upside down or rather the wrong way. The fabric is a lighter color than expected but clean and fluffy. At 4’11 with 145 lbs and sitting on this chair for several minutes, I must say it is very comfortable, sturdy enough to hold me, and easy to get out of (unlike the recliner). Great purchase! I bought it for a dorm chair. It was super easy to put together. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure about how comfortable and supportive it would be, but it is definitely worth the purchase. It leans back just enough to relax, plenty of space in the seat, and well supported.

Saw this chair on Amazon as it popped up on choices Amazon gives you to wet your appetite to buy. After looking at it, checking the measurements and reading the reviews, I thought this might be a neat chair to try out. I'm a big wide guy and I hit close to the weight limit on this chair but I still ordered it. After getting, it, assembling it (which was pretty easy) and finally getting to sit in it, unlike other reviews, I didn't find it as cozy for me as I had hoped. It's my fault that I'm a heavy wide framed human so when I sit down in this chair, I barely have enough side arm width to put my arms but there is just enough since my bum takes up the rest of the width of the chair. Though it's not too unpleasant sitting in it, it kind of has a hammock type feel to it that pushes my posterior together and I get a sort of bottom fatigue when sitting in it for a while. It has a nice velvet cover and I have to admit that for such a light chair ( I think only 14 lbs!) it's extremely sturdy and it does hold my excessive weight. I was concerned that metal legs are joined with a plastic joint that looks like it could break eventually, but so far I've been extremely careful NOT to plop down into it. I carefully sit down and get up out of it. It's VERY easy to move around being so light so that's a real plus when I need to move it and you can't say that about too many pieces of furniture. It apparently has a very sturdy, thick outdoor type material for the structure below the cushioned velvet fabric covering so that also seemed to make me feel that it will hold up well if treated correctly. So not the best chair I've ever sat it but I do blame myself for being too big so I can't blame the chair too much so I only docked one star off. My husband was dead set against this chair when I showed him that I had ordered it for one of our kids. He said it looked weird and unstable, and thought that the legs would snap the first time someone sat on the chair. After it arrived, the kiddo was the first to sit in it, and absolutely loved it! Later, when my husband tried it, he reluctantly admitted that the chair was nice and felt sturdy, and even though the legs still looked weird, he liked it. The cushioning is pretty nice, as is the fabric. It's definitely not a high-quality chair, but it's perfect for our needs. We're planning on getting a couple more for the family room. I just wish they had a loveseat version of it! ... show more

The chair is lovely. The fabric is really nice looking and soft. All the parts seem well made and good quality. It’s so comfortable… until you sit in it for any length of time. Then the cross bar under the seat becomes very obvious. It kills me right in the tailbone. I checked how I put together, hoping I made a mistake. I watched the video instructions and that is just how it is. Everyone who sits in it (kid to various size adults) say they can feel it. It bothers some more than others. Either the seat needs way more padding on the bottom or that bar needs a new location. I am still on the fence about sending it back. ... show more
