The front wheels on my Craftsman tractor are too far apart for this lift, and when I lifted from the rear, the tractor lifted straight up due to most of the weight being up front. To remedy, I simply used a cinch strap on the left side around the rear axle and under the lift to hold it down. I should have run the strap over the center bar that remains on the ground as I had to loosen it a bit as I raised the tractor. I used my drill to raise it faster and it worked great! When using the drill adapter you've got to be mindful when you're at the end of the threads on the lift or you could end up snapping the casting off with a powerful drill as some reviewers did. Be careful, and use a little common sense, and this lift works great! ... show more

Product was easy to assemble and all parts were delivered. Not sturdy as reported by others. I also used a jack stand to be safe. The adapter is made of cheap metal and broke lowering my machine down. I ended up using the hand crank after grinding out metal burs and paint.
