I was looking for a longer trench coat style that wouldn't break the bank, and this was the closest to the length I could find. I've bought from these Chinese stores direct before so I knew to measure myself and don't go by their size descriptions. Normally I wear medium shirts but I ended up getting an XL of this, WTF! Luckily my measurements worked and it fit fine. With past purchases my shoulders were too wide and I literally couldn't hug myself for fear I'd tear the coat. (Fun fact, I ended up doing that which is why I'm writing this review.) If you're not interested in that purple looking color this part may not bother you, but it ain't purple. The description did say Navy blue so I was somewhat expecting that, but still holding out it might be purple. C'est la vie. Overall, I can't complain though. The fabric itself feels smooth to the touch and I like the look. Better selection online than what I can find in stores where I live at a decent price point. ... show more

I like this mid-length trench coat. The seams are good (on the one I got) and the style is perfect for the office, semi-formal occasions and all-around wear. The fit is good, and the only complaint I would have is the sleeves are a bit too short for my long arms.

I bought a couple different colors cuz I like the unique look. I regularly wear suits, and the full $500+ wool trench-coat in winter weather. I wanted a little bit of variety and slightly less traditional for some occasions, and these are very nice for the price. If you find the right sizing (Chinese sizing, so, for me, U.S. 5'8" 200lb, wide shoulder, muscular/stocky and a bit chubby in old age - 46 Short, the XXL has fit well - still a bit tight in the sleeves/shoulders) this is a sleek and stylish looking alternative trenchcoat. Every single time I have worn one out, family, acquaintances, and strangers make a point of commenting on it, and I'm not the kind of person that people approach just to chat with - I'm not attractive, I'm shy and avertive, and I guess just have that vibe of "don't talk to me" - I'm a serious sort. True story, I'm in a beauty supply store with my wife and college age daughter 'cuz daughter is picking out some hair dye. Dude is on his cell phone, and I hear him say "hang on, I gotta give this bro a compliment..." as he's walking down the aisle toward us, then he just blurts out " hey, man, I gotta ask, where'd you get that coat - that is a nice lookin' coat." This jacket is OK. I bought it for my boyfriend because I really like the coat collar but once it got here. The front fits well but I think the back needs a little more tailoring because it kind of sticks out but he really liked it. He said he could put a heavy sweater up under it. The material overall is very cheap. I didnt expect to be overwhelmed with quality, but it was barely holding together and showed obvious fray. Maybe this was a return previously?? I ordered a Large, but was sent a Medium, so it didnt fit, either.
