    • Coating breaks down in disinfectants not for pros

So im a professional nail technitian and if your looking to use this in a professional setting i would recommend going to a pro shop like kupa/ericas etc instead here's why. This bit is fine but the moment it hits barbicide/lucascide etc the color peels from the bit which means that is also breaking down the bits sharpness in turn. For only a few dollars more you can go to ericas and get her smooth top carbide or young nails tornado that will last longer and not break down in disinfectants. If you are not a professional i wouldn't recommend either unless you've had some type of training. This bit will cut you and not do the job your looking for it to do if not run at the correct speed with a proper efile with good torque. Remember the bit should be doing the work with the proper machine and speed you shouldn't need much pressure. If you are putting down alot of pressure your going to end up with huge divits in your enhancements and also cause your efile to kick around the edges and create lots of friction. The purple coating on this bit is pointless usually a purple coating is used by a high end technical abrasive company to coat the bit in a specialty anti heat coating that also helps the bit last longer. This bit does none of those but will cut down acrylic or gel non the less. Also do not use this on anything but a enhancement NO NATURAL NAILS. ... show more

So this thing is pretty scary looking. I was really nervous to use it. But I had gems on my nails so I figured now is the best time to try it out. I have similar bits that are porcelain and they tend to jump and skip, which causes them to rip up my cuticles. 😬😬 I was thinking this metal one would do much worse damage... I'm a DIY when it comes to nails. I've had the same bits since I started. I always thought it was me and that I was doing something wrong. I ordered this bit cause it had great reviews. The minute I started using it I realized it wasn't me it was the bits I was using. If you are a professional or like me a DIYer you need this bit. I was able to remove all the acrylic off my nails and I didn't even need to soak them off. Definitely be careful as its sharp I did nick my cuticle a few times.
