The only reason for the 4's is that we can still fill the metal frame underneath the mattress, which would not be an issue in a regular couch bed. So, I purchased two of the 12 inch. One of them feels amazing and we are extremely happy with our purchase. The second one feels too firm. I would purchase again but would definitely reach out to the seller next time before my return option expired.
