I love Laura Ashley products, but some of her bedspreads have been slightly rough to the touch. I love blue, so when I saw that this was considered softer than most cotton bedspreads, I was excited to see if it was really true. I was not disappointed. It is soft right from the package, but I also first washed it with some natural fabric softener and it became even more soft. I used to use polyester fuzzy blankets on my bed because they were so soft, but I switched to all natural, so I was excited to have a bedspread that was cotton, natural, AND soft! And yes it is short on the sides, but that is because it is really not bedspread but a quilt or coverlet. You will need a dust ruffle to go with it. It is a medium to lighter weight that works well for both summer and winter. You will probably not even need a blanket, as this works well as a blanket too. ... show more

I love this set! We had a “summer duvet” w/ a lightweight duvet cover set…my husband was cold, I was hot as…well, you know lol. Purchased this set and both of us are MUCH more comfortable. Just a suggestion- white, crisp sheets compliment this set beautifully 😍! Also, a queen size ( which is what we purchased) is actually a true QUEEN size. No more running back and forth trying to figure out which side has “too much quilt, or not enough” lol. Definitely will buy again!!! ... show more

I’ve known Laura Ashley beddings for 40 years and they’re still my best choice; the quality, designs are excellent. I got this set for my daughter and it’s so beautiful. The cotton feels good and light which is good for the hot summer too. I just ordered another one( Lilac ) for my queen bed.

I was pleased with the overall look of the quilt. Loved the feel and design. But, it did not fit my king bed properly. It does not hang over one side. Frustrating. Kept it anyway… since the short side does not show.
