Overall the diagnostic portion of this scanner is good. I had no problems once the VCI was registered getting into the car and diagnosing the systems. The topology is nice feature, especially at this price point. I will update after using it more.

This is the best value to get into a professional tool that is equipped with a J2534 passthru. The pass thru works perfect with Xentry and many other factory software's. I have used this tool from anything from programming a bmw to diagnosing a 1994 GMC 4500 Pickup. Very powerful tablet to boot, I use it for remote desktop and run many web based apps such as Identifix and Alldata with zero issues. Great tool for the price. This is actually a very good product. Well thought out. It not only works for cars but also for HD Heavy duty trucks. So all in one ! Just the buyer needs to buy the HD truck software subscription if they need to work on HD trucks also. The tablet with 4GB ram just zooms through fast without any hiccups and the 64 GB internal SSD hard drive like storage is plenty and fast to do any tasks. For those who think that a diagnostic tablet will cover every make and model and every function must wait a very long time. No such thing in the market by any of the makers Even with it's HD module ability it is priced much lower than the other brands and that itself it's functionality for cars and HD vehicles puts it on top. The car scanner is awesome and comes with fast and efficient customer service. As a mechanic for more than 30 years, I always need a professional scanner for cars, pickups, trailers, trucks... This launch scanner works very well on Honda Civic, Ford Explorer, MB... But when I hooked it up to the very first truck, it seems to have hit a problem. Fortunately, the technical support provides adequate customer service to resolve the issue in a timely fashion. Meantime, reminded me that there was an extra charge for this on the details page. I came back to read the page again... Alright, I overlooked this. Then, I paid for the software card to activate it and got the right non-16 pin connector. Wouldn’t read the ecm on a 2012 Tahoe but was fine with other modules. Worked well for VW tons of coding options and functions. Was cheesy with Subaru and other brands. Wasn’t really impressed due to the lack of coverage even though they say it will do certain vehicles I don’t find that 100% accurate. It’s also hard to decipher the differences between models. ... show more
