This is so much more than a code reader. Paid for itself the first use, my previous code reader told me all 4 of my O2 sensors were bad, this didn't seem right but local shop wanted 200.00 to hook it up and see what was wrong. Ran a scan with this tool and found that voltage to one sensor was off, which showed me only one was bad. replaced one sensor and reset codes and problem was gone. saved me hundreds of dollars and now I have an awesome tool to boot. Great little code reader for the price. I am a professional automotive technician with nearly 20 years of experience. The advertisement of the TPMS activation tool may be a little misleading. The TPMS tool is only suitable for GM vehicles. I own launch X431 pad II and a launch Creader VI and I love them both. Good for breaking into learning about more complex features of code readers. Has graphs you can choose to view instead of looking at numbers. It's like a wannabe oscilloscope but more like a graph. So it can graph your battery volts, fuel trims, O2 sensors, can read your RPM's, catalytic convertor, throttle body position sensor, and couple of other things. It's very basic but above the basic other scanners. The graph is not the greatest to view. It can auto identify your VIN and vehicle so that's cool. I used it plenty of times on alot of vehicles. Has free updates via wifi. You can email the screen shots taken to yourself or others. You can buy additional features. I'm not too sure if a bidirectional features can be bought with other packages but the basic package it comes with is not bidirectional. It does clear codes. It has given me good practice and confidence to get into more complex tools. Great starter scanner. Very happy with it. ... show more

I was very satisfied with my purchase. It performed just like it was supposed too. i was having some code issue and i was able to narrow down my problem. Thought i needed a new alternator but it turned out alternator was charging just fine. Batteries were old and needed changing. I'm new to using obd2 scanners but I've seen others use it for years. I do my own vehicle maintenance from brake, oil, filters, and other things. I have worked on Hondas, Toyotas, and Subarus. My honda recently got an srs light. Ive read some good reviews on the launch CRP123E. So ordered it and used it for the first time. Start up and updating the unit was quick and easy. Plugged it in the 2003 Honda accord LX and found driver seat belt buckle needed replacement due to faulty switch. Replaced and cleared the codes. Srs hasn't been on since. Unit works on a 2005 toyota 4runner, 2009 subaru wrx, and 2003 honda accord. It found the Vin in seconds. Can't wait to use more of the functions that it offers. ... show more
