Used this on my corvette to read the check engine code. Initial setup might take a bit if you download and install all the updates. This device does not have a power button. It gets it power once you connect to your car or you can connect the Usb-c cable to your laptop. I liked that is gives more info than the other code reader I have and you can send a report to your email. Hitting the back button takes a few seconds to refresh the screen so it might be negative if you are not a patient person. ... show more

The scanners I received from my initial order failed on setup. The units present the START, SYSTEM LANGUAGE, and TIME ZONE screens and then NEXT from the TIME ZONE screen opens the NETWORK SETUP screen where the unit just clocks. My WiFi broadcast matches the unit specs. I can back up to the START and run through the screens again but with the same result. The clocking does not time out and there is no option to escape this step. The User's Manual on page 11, section 4.2, paragraph 4 states at the NETWORK screen, slide the switch to ON and the unit will search for and display all available wireless LANs. The screen image is presented as fig. 4-1. This step does not come up on the units. I returned the scanners and requested a replacement. I received the replacement scanners today and these units performed the same as the first scanners. Since both scanners have the same defect, I can only conclude that the scanners are not being quality tested. Returning both scanners and requesting a refund.     • Good diagnostic tool
I used it to diagnose multiple GM vehicle issues. Monitoring transmission temps, reset NoX sensors, DPF problems, ABS speed sensor problems, misfires on a new truck, etc. It’s paid for itself many times over and taught me that GM hasn’t made a quality vehicle since 2006.

    • Not supported by Launch in the USA if purchased on Amazon or Ebay!
So owned for a few months and it is a very capable unit. Main issue is there is no US support-see response from Launch USA. My issue is you cannot email the diagnostic report to your own email. It states sent successfully on screen, but only goes to some cloud. Unfortunately the XXXXX is not manufactured for the North American market and as such Launch Tech USA does not sell or support it. If you would like a tool for the North American market please go to launchtechusa.com and look under products then go to WHERE TO BUY for our authorized US dealers. . Please contact either the seller or the appropriate Launch office for support. overseas.service@cnlaunch.com sales@cnlaunch.com All of the above information is for tools supported by Launch Tech USA, we do not sell direct, or online from eBay or Amazon. Should you buy a tool that way it will be for an overseas model not supported by us. What that means is if you needed a software update, the tool needed a repair for some reason or you wanted information about the tool we would not be able to help you asthe software is written differently for each region our company serves.
