  • Childhood dream come true
If you grew up in the 80s, this game console is a kids biggest dream come true. It has over 800 hundred games including all my favorites and some Ive never played before but have always wanted to. The coolest part, imo, is that there is a tv output which allows for the secondary controller to be connected to be used for 2 player mode. The screen is backlit and sound is true to the era. Brings back a lot of memories. Recommend! ... show more

  • Fun handheld toy with a large library!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great gift for a new gamer looking to expand their library! There are 800 games and there are some great classic selections from the NES 8 bit era. Comes with 2nd player controller, tv adapter, charging cable, and an extra rechargeable battery. My only complaint is that they make these so light and with such cheap plastic but it still works and sounds great for the price. A must have for retro gamers. ... show more

  • Pretty standard weirdness but with a worse screen
Style: White
It looks like a Game Boy, but it's not at all a Game Boy. Points for trying, though. The main problem here is that the screen isn't great; the colors are off, and things can be a little stretched due to a weird aspect ration that these games were not made for. As a result, a few games vibrate since they're kind of between pixels and trying to compensate. Two buttons are vestigial; there are no games on here that need four buttons. Two buttons would be great; the extras are kind of obnoxious since in many games, one of the extra buttons is kinda of a half-press, meaning that you'll jump only half as high. In others, it suddenly jumps to turbo, and your Tetris piece will over-spin. I also never understand the addition of a controller; is the idea that one person will hold the console still enough that a second player can join? That's a headache. Maybe it applies better when you feed it all out to a TV, but that defeats the purpose of it being portable, and there are better systems you can hook up to the TV. The OS and games are the same as 95% of other similar handhelds; loud music on startup, choose between English and Chinese, and most of the games are shovelware. The ones that do work have a badly mis-colored screen; you can't tell Bart Simpson from the background grass. If you're going to get a handheld, avoid the ones that only do 8-bit styled games; once you start getting into the realm of SNES emulation and beyond, that's where you start getting a greater complement of real games, removable storage, and consistently good screen quality. This isn't really it. ... show more

  • Cheap

you get what you pay for. The sound is funny sounds like chipmunks and the screen has no light so when it gets dark you can't really play it. but its a nice gift for kids.

  • Lasted 15 Minutes
At this price point, I wasn’t expecting this to be amazing, but I thought since it’s so affordable, it would also not be a big deal if it were damaged by one of my kids. They didn’t even get a chance to try it, because it stopped working exactly 15 minutes after I turned it on. As soon as you open it, it’s clear that it’s made as cheap as possible. It feels like a toy. I still felt fine with that, with realistic expectations of quality at this price point. My bar was very low - as long as it works, it’s a winner for under $20. But it doesn’t work. After fully charging the battery, I turned it on & it gives you the option to select your language - Chinese or English. Once you select the language, a long list of games comes up. There is no battery/percentage shown, or any other options, just the list of games. Once you select a game, the game opens & you can choose 1 or 2 player, if applicable. I realized it was pretty dark. But it seemed to work, albeit the d pad wasn’t the most responsive. You can pause the game but you cannot save. I took a photo when I turned it on, at 12:42pm. I noticed it was progressively getting darker while I tested a few games out. After about 12 minutes, it started to get very dark. Then the screen went white for a moment, before it stopped responding, at 12:57, after literally only 15 minutes of use. I tried turning it off & on again, but it simply will not do anything. The battery light on the side comes on, but nothing happens on the screen. It did come with an extra battery, which I charged to see if the initial battery was bad. It still is unresponsive. If you want a plastic, dummy handheld game system, that will not operate, this may be able to fit that bill. Otherwise, this falls under the too good to be true category. I would not waste any money on game systems at this price point, even if you have low expectations. ... show more
