This set of three rectangular serving plates were a real surprise because they are actually made of melamine, which is a much better quality than I thought I was getting. Me is fantastic because it looks and feels like a heavy ceramic piece, but it’s actually quite lightweight and nearly unbreakable. I got these to use for my son‘s birthday buffet table where we are going to put out some finger foods. I love how this comes in a set of three and they all match. These are really nice informal serving trays. They are quality plastic and unlikely to break if accidentally dropped. The finish is soft white with a glossy sheen that makes them look ceramic. You will never know they are plastic without picking them up and holding them. The trays are sized appropriately for easy side dish serving. Perfect for appetizers, baked goods and healthy nibbles. The media could not be loaded. I first have to admit that I didn't consider anything like this as a gift for someone until I opened them. They are a really nice, thick quality. I imagine that anyone would find these complementary to their dining/hosting needs. You do have to take all the normal melamine precautions as they are not microwave safe. I also don't recommend them for dishwasher use due to the high heat unless you have a cold-water wash option / air-dry on your dishwasher. The pans are exactly as sized/described in the listing. The medium-sized tray, for a size reference, perfectly holds 24 mini muffins (you could probably get 28 on there if you leaned an extra row on the curvature). I included a video, so you could get a visual reference of the size and potential use. I was really pleased at how lightweight they are, because my heavy ceramics are getting harder and harder for me to safely carry to the dining table when loaded with food. I plan to use these for any family-style meals, or when creating multiple smaller appetizer options while watching Sunday sports. These are much easier to pass around at the dining/coffee table. Red sauces usually do stain light-colored melamine, so keep that in mind when using. (I am not going to test that with these, but just something to keep in mind.) I definitely recommend them, and for the affordable price and quality, I am going to keep these on my wish-list for gift-giving potentials. ... show more

These are high quality melamine trays. I collect melamine and these are well made, heavy duty, beautiful clean white trays. Great design for presenting fruit, cheese and crackers, candies, veggies and burger fixings but nothing too hot as they will stain or melt and become toxic. Food looks good on them. I love that there are 3 in the set. Perfect for big parties. I have white bistro ware and these trays look great with my dishes. They don't look like cheap plastic at all. Of course you could use them for other things. I recommend to hand wash with a sponge or cloth to maintain the beautiful shine. These would make a great gift. ... show more

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I've had serving trays from the Dollar Tree that didn't last long, or were so specific to seasonal holidays that I have to put them away the rest of the year. I wanted something that I could use for a summer picnic or a Thanksgiving feast. Something to serve deviled eggs on at Easter, or gingerbread cookies on at Christmas. Or even just tea time snacks for the kids every day. These are so perfect for that because they're so easy to wash and they're big enough for a variety of appetizers, or enough of one for a large family. I like that they are pure white so the visual focus can be on the food. We have been talking about the art of plating food with the kids, and these trays will be great for practicing on. I thought this was ceramic but it is actually plastic. Melamine is a type of plastic and can only be used for not so hot or cold foods as if it goes over a certain temperature then it releases a harmful chemical. I am still debating on using it as the plastic does concern me but I think I have seen this type of dish used at restaurants I have frequented. I would not recommend this but it is an option for reusable serving trays. ... show more

These trays are so perfect for brunch and potlucks. They look great, they are lightweight, easy to clean and just the right sizes for salads and veggies trays. I think they are a little bit on the higher end of my budget for melamine but overall worth it.
