Let me start off by saying that ultimately, I am content with the end product. I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting, for the price that it was. It was the dimensions I wanted and the color and design that I wanted. The instructions leave much to be desired. Unless you have built one of these exact kits before, you might find yourself referencing YouTube videos for help. If it wasn't for the instructions, I probably would have given this five stars. The diagrams weren't detailed enough at times. One of the things that I did do was rotate the roof 180° to slope water in the opposite direction. I placed my shed against my house, and I wanted the water to slope away. Fortunately, the construction design allowed for this. Would I get this again? I guess I would. I didn't need a permit for this since it's technically not a permanent structure. It did come with all the materials that I needed along with additional hardware. It was the exact dimensions I wanted and a desirable color. The price was attractive and it was delivered directly to my door. Assembly with two people is strongly recommended. First the positives. Arrived on time. And once completed it looks nice. Now the really review. The door is only 5 1/2 feet high. i missed that. It is WAAAAY to short for most people. Many of the pieces had dents or scratches from shipping. The design is overly complicated to the point of being absurd. Workable, but poorly chosen design choices for assembly. I am not in the construction field, both of the people helping me are contractors with decades of experience each. And it took almost 12 hours to complete. The Instructions are difficult to follow at best, useless at some points. They show pictures of the details but unless you have a really strong eye for detail, the subtle differences you need to be able to see are very difficult. Some of this goes back to the odd design choices (making panels of 3 different sizes that are laid out in different patterns for each wall rather than making equally sized or two sizes). Did not send enough screws, nuts, etc. Well, just enough. But they are small and we dropped a few and ended up short. Clearly not a single extra screw, etc. sent. That's not realistic. Also, they shrink wrapped each individual piece. Trying to avoid damage, great. Except you cannot get the shrink wrap off! Took my wife and two friends hours to peel off. Had to assemble with it still on some and now have to peel it off as it wears off each day. overall terrible design plan, extremely difficult to put together and very poor instructions. But after hours of needlessly tedious work, multiple four letter words in frustration trying to decipher instructions and dealing with odd design/construction choices it did get done and should do ok. ... show more

It's been weeks since I bought it. I opened it and seeing all the parts just knocks the wind out of my ambition...! I do believe my boys are going to inherit the assembly process.. I told them not to get discouraged and to think of it as a big erector set... The instructions look very comprehensive which includes pitfalls and do's and don't do's, which is really nice because it does look like this kit has a high probability of becoming a cluster if you don't pay attention. I am a retired engineer and machine designer creating many exploded views in my career. Their is nothing scary here, but I am getting too old for his kind of thing.. Just saying... The only thing that would make this kit worse is if they shortened the box and effectively doubled the quantity of parts.. I don't think I could recommend this to any adult that has any self respect or grip with reality. Now if your looking for a challenge on the other hand and/or are going though a second childhood, then giver a go. And good luck. The good lord has blessed my with a 12 and a 9 year old who just thinks daddy's erector set is going to be fun. Actually I am looking forward to that aspect as are they. So we shall see... I like the shed and it is perfect for our needs (place for our pool stuff). This fits the HOA regs to keep the profile lower than the block wall. The base went well and the side walls on the bottom screw holes lined up well but then it went downhill. There were no screw holes to match the pictures so that required a lot of drilling holes (but things still went well). The roof had no matching holes either so those also had to be drilled (but the screws were good and didn't strip out). However, the door went together well so all in all while some (most?) didn't match up, it came out well. ... show more
