Easy to put together. It was doable by myself, but getting another person to help will cut the time in half. It came with every little piece you could need, and extra wire mesh too. The wire is coated in a green rubberized type of thing, which makes it look pretty nice. I recommend rolling the wire over the middle sections first and then covering the ends. You should have enough to tuck the end of the wire under the bar that sits on the ground and secure it there, then roll it over the top and down to the other side. Stretch and secure, rinse and repeat. This did ship in several boxes, but each box came with a note card that let you know there was more on the way, and how many boxes you should have. It shipped faster than I thought (maybe a week or two?) and even came with zip ties. I’ve been using this as a chicken coup for months and am still very pleased with it. It’s been through heavy rain and storms, as well as snow. I did put a wood plank running the length of the top to create a peak under the tarp I laid over it, to keep water and snow from pooling and weighing it down.     • A Chicken Run Without the Fight

Look, my husband and I have been together for over 12 years. We have three kids. We’ve moved half a dozen times. We’ve built a house. All the assembly yourself and DIY products have been thoroughly tested in our lives, and we can confidently say this chicken run was one of the easiest things we’ve ever assembled. The product description doesn’t do it justice. It glosses over the snap together framing. Y’ALL. Snap.Together.Frame. My 9 year old child had the bottom half of the framing put together before my husband could finish finding his wrench. (A wrench, by the way, is included with this purchase and is very study. Tool box digging is unnecessary) Basically, each of the poles and connectors use the push button snaps like the pop-up tents at a farmer’s market. Easy. Easy. Easy. The frame assembly is easily a one person job. It took us about 20 minutes to have the framing all put together. All parts are clearly marked and locigal. Not weird tricky pieces that can get mixed up. The door is a bit more difficult, and was the longest part of the assembly process. Two sets of hands would be ideal. The chicken wire is definitely a two person job, but the wire included is perfectly measured to eliminate any need to cut excessively or patch. The shade piece was better quality than we expected. Since the entire top of the run gets chicken wire, we didn’t attach the shade piece where instructed towards the back. With the way the sun hits, it would provide more shade for our flock if we placed it over the section closest to the door. Flexibility. Again, extremely easy to place and secure. Could be a one person job. All said and done, I will just quote my husband: “Dang. You better leave them a rave review. That was so much easier than I thought it would be.” TLDR; this coop is the easiest thing to assemble, ever. Buy it to protect your birds and your marriage.     • Solid but time-consuming

I bought this to use as a chicken run. Pros: The frame comes together very easily. Under an hour for me to do alone. It’s far, far cheaper than most other chicken runs of this size. The included tarp is useful. It’s big enough to cover 1/4 of the roof and I keep it over my chicken coop during the rainy season. The included wire is useful for lots of other projects (though I don’t recommend it for a coop, more on that below). Seems perfectly sturdy. Cons: You need many, many more zip ties than are included in the box. Stock up, and make sure you get the kind that are UV resistant. The included wire is pretty flimsy. It’s perfectly suitable for keeping chickens in, but predators could easily chew through it. I opted to use 19ga hardware cloth on the run, and am using the included wire to make compost and leaf mold baskets instead. No matter what kind of wire you use, attaching it is very, very time consuming. This is not a project you want to try to complete in a weekend or even a week. Cutting the wire to size is tedious, even more so if you’re covering the floor, and the zip ties will make your hands numb and chafed in a matter of days. Using gloves is more comfortable but make the work much slower. If you go with this one, make sure it’s something you don’t need to use right away - do a panel once every other day until it’s done, because it’s really easy to burn out on this one. Keep in mind that once the wire is on, it’s a huge pain to take it off. This isn’t the model you want if you ever need to move the thing, because you have to build it all over from scratch if you do. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We used extra zip ties to hold things in place while we wire wrapped it. It seems sturdy and I think it will help keep predators out. The coop pictured is the one from TSC, holds 6 birds, and leaves plenty of room for the animals to run around. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Much easier than building your own coop and run for them. Which I’ve done. ... show more
