If you’re wanting a cheap chicken coop for three chickens or less, then this is perfect. Not very clear instructions I had to disassemble and reassemble a couple times but now that I’ve got it all together it’s very decent for the price. However, I did not pay attention to the shipping price. It wasn’t until after I received the item and told a coworker and she was ordering it and paid attention to the shipping price and it added a good $30. Wayfare has the same exact coop for a little more but I think you end up saving money that way, because they offered free shipping or cheaper shipping. ... show more

This coop was easy to assemble and had clear instructions. Will it fit more than 3 full grown chickens, yes, but it'll be a tight fit. Better as a chick coop. Wood material is extremely soft which allows for the lightweight aspect, but it also makes it less durable. Will want to add stronger mesh if you live in a more rural area as any larger creature such as a raccoon or fox could easily push a hole into a corner with just a little effort. Top is heavy enough it won't blow away or be pushed off easily, but the center piece holding it together is very flimsy and I see falling apart very quickly if we remove repeatedly for cleaning, feeding, or retrieving chickens. Directions had a hand written edit on screws needed but then the additional screws were not provided for this edit. No extra screws provided for any section, sent exactly what was listed so take care not to lose or misplace any. Suggest nailing the collection box floor down and filling gaps with expanding foam. ... show more

This is perfect for 2 hens. I would not have more than that in it. The roost will only fit 2. We added a little dog pen and attached it to outside to create a larger “open” area for them to roam. The coop is small and they do get bored and start to dig holes and pace at gate. So creating a small outdoor area helped. ... show more

Way too small for a regular sized chicken, saying it can fit 2-4 is overselling it for sure. It would be better with maybe 2 full grown bantams sized chickens or to use for chicks until they were big enough to move to a more appropriate sized coop. Also the wood is extremely cheap and thin, some of the pre-drilled holes didn't line up right so you had to drill your own or split the wood. I had to reinforce the bottom with boards I cut at home to make it more sturdy and less of a topple over risk. Also the board up into the hen house broke away as soon as a hen tried to go up it so I had to reinforce that as well with another board. The instructions aren't too clear on a few things but if you've ever put anything together before it's not awful. The assembly overall was done by myself only in a few hours so that wasn't horrible but the roof is already bubbling up from sitting in the sun so I'll have to put a new roof. Honestly price wise you'd be better off buying your own materials and could make a bit bigger coop and run that is better quality material for the same price if not less. It is a very cute coop. However, it is way smaller than it appears. While I know the dimensions are listed the inside provides no space for food or water. It is strictly roosting and nesting. In an area where keeping the water and chickens from freezing - we are unable to place the water on the heater much less place the coop heater inside the coop. I might also add that the direction for assembly are horrid and we had to pre drill many holes! I am disappointed to say the least. Cute but not practical ... show more

It is a “get what you pay for” item, so I didn’t go into this purchase expecting something that would house 300 chickens & last me for 10 years. It was easy to put together. I had no issue with any of the predrilled holes like I read about before I decided to purchase the coop. It looks really cute, and my 9 two-month-old chickens have been enjoying it for a while now. It was only meant to be a temporary coop for them while we build the other coop ourselves, and it is perfect for that. (I will probably use it later to keep one of my roos in if he is being pesky, or as place for a hen that just needs a break from the others.) My only issue was that the pull out tray needed to be significantly sanded down to fit in the slot, and I still have difficulty with it, but I might try some candle-wax or something to see if that helps.
