  • This photo is not this item!
Special Size Type: Thermoflux 300 Heavyweight Size: Large Color: Dark Red
After seeing this photo, this is what I was expecting. My fault, I neglected to read the entire 12 paragraph review where the reviewer stated "item for comparison". Photos of other items should be prohibited in reviews, as they are easily mistaken for actual item. That said, I give the long johns a 5 star review. Very warm, super comfortable, neck/sleves and wrists well tailored. Waist while wel made, thin which I like, was a bit big. If you're not concerned with color, you can purchase shirt and pants separately so they are sized correctly for your body. And if you shop the sales you can save some money. I will buy these again. ... show more

  • Great customer service, Great quality, High hopes!
Special Size Type: Thermoflux 300 Heavyweight Size: Medium Color: Olive Green
First, let me say that, while I ordered a medium, a large with shipped to me. Rather than go through the return, refund and reorder process, I decided to try contacting LAPASA first. A representative replied to my message in the same day, offering to send the correct size straight away or refund the product immediately. The representative, who did supply her name, did not request that I leave positive feedback (or any feedback at all) as a stipulation to receive her assistance. She just acknowledged the problem, offered the solutions and did it in a friendly manner. I chose a replacement. Great communication and resolution. As stated, my info is 195lbs / 6'0" / Size: Medium. I originally ordered the large and it was too loose on me/didn't hug my skin. The mediums fit perfect. I have long arms and legs with a short torso. Even so, the length of both the top and the bottom is good. Although I haven't worn these in very cold weather, the thickness and quality of the outer material is very good. Added to that, the fleece inner material is substantial & soft. These thermals should perform very well in cold weather. Indeed, they do seem to be heavyweight as promised. I will update after testing them in said conditions. For my preference, the thermal shirt could be longer in terms of body length. But it does have sufficient length to be tucked in. I believe this product to be a fantastic buy and my update will be posted very soon, as the weather has just turned, heading towards bitter cold. (I've included two images of the inside fleece material in an attempt to illustrate the thickness and quality. Otherwise, the set looks exactly the same as pictured.) ... show more

  • Warmest Base Layer Ever
Special Size Type: Thermoflux 300 Heavyweight Size: Medium Color: Heather Blue
I am always cold. If the temperature is below 60F, I start having difficulty regulating my body temperature. I have spent more money on various "warmest rating" outerwear and base layers than I care to think about and nothing seemed to cut the cold of midwest winters...until these. I was so impressed with the performance of these that I now own four sets of the thickest/warmest ones as well as two of the mid-weight shirts for when I need a bit of added warmth but not a full set of base layers. I spent 16 hours insulating an attic while it was 19 degrees outside in just these with a sweatshirt and pants over them and I was never cold at ALL. They're also great for doing outdoor winter projects. Sizing/fit: Across the four sets that I now own, there is some slight size variation but not enough that I would order anything but my usual size. The navy blue set runs a tad short/small but it works just fine. I believe these generally fit very true to size. These have a lot of stretch for ease of movement and don't fit as snug as many base layers do. I like that. If you're on the fence about size, unsure whether to buy your usual size or size up, I would suggest your usual size. Bottom line: if you're on the fence and wondering if this will just be another base layer than makes promises it can't keep, these actually do the job and do it well. GET THEM. ... show more

  • Warm and cozy
Special Size Type: Thermoflux 300 Heavyweight Size: Large Color: White
This is a great product. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I wish they would make the white thermal tops with a v neck so that it wouldn't show under a button down shirt. A v neck version with half sleeves would be great! Still, I recommend this product highly. Both my husband and myself have many of Lapasa thermals and are very happy with them. We will continue to purchase them. ... show more

  • Great for Snowmobiling
Special Size Type: Thermoflux 300 Heavyweight Size: X-Large Color: Olive Green
Needed some thermals for snowmobiling. I am not writing this for Amazon, but writing it for my fellow snowmobilers. Very few reviews I have found for thermals talk about sledding, so here you are. I have tried several and I love these. I don't need to look any further now that I have used them. These are very warm and comfortable. I am 6' 1", 225lb with more dad bod than chiseled bod. I bought XL and like the fit, snug but not stupid tight. I don't feel restricted and forget I have them on. Five below zero with one layer of clothes over, plus my snowmobile bib and jacket, and I was toasty warm at pretty high speed. I tend to go when it is extremely cold, and I am 100% satisfied with these. I would not hesitate to go out at -20 with these as my base layer. After using the heavy weightI added a medium weight set for spring riding. I wore the medium weight on a day that started cold and ended up over 35 degrees and I was uncomfortably warm, felt like I was sweating a lot (drank 4 bottles of water that day) - They performed as promised as I never got soaked in sweat - they really do wick away the moisture - open coat and bibs and stayed dry. I was looking for reviews that addressed these issues for snowmobiler and didn't find much, so here you go, hope this is helpful. I think you can buy these with confidence. ... show more
