  • Super sharp lens!
This is a great lens. It takes tack sharp photos. The focusing ring turns smoothly which helps with minute focus adjustments. I have many beautiful photos taken with this lens. If you can't afford the Sony Macro Lens you can't go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.

  • Good macro lense, no exif data
This lens is really sharp and excellent for macro photography. It is much cheaper than the other options for Sony full frame cameras. It also goes to 2x magnification which allows you to capture really small details. The only downside is there is no exif data from the lens, so it can be harder to keep track of what pictures you take with this lens. ... show more

  • Awesome Macro for a good price.
Very sharp and very clean. As long as manual focus is going to work for your application its a sweet lens. We do food photography so most of our work is locked down and still life so it works out exceptional. Beats the extra cost of the Sony 90 and the New Sigma 105. Those lenses however are exceptional at double the price. ... show more

  • This Macro Lens Gets 5 Stars All Around!
Probably the best Macro lens I have ever owned. There is absolutely no distortion, chromatic color fringing, and the images are super sharp with 2x magnification. The lens comes with a 67mm UV filter for extra protection. I also was surprised when using this lens for portraits. A must have lens, used on my full frame digital camera. ... show more

  • Super Sharp!!! Meets or beats the higher end brands
The media could not be loaded. Laowa is my go to lens and now I own the 100mm which is my favorite so far. Super sharp and best of all great price! My opinion better then most top brand macros.

  • perfect image quality
the resolution is really high. but if you want to get a perfect image, you need to practice a lot. Depth of field is ridiculous shallower ( about 0.5 mm?) so you need use f/11, which means a flash is necessary.

  • Good Optics. Sony FE Mount a Cheat.
I agree with other reviewers that the lens has excellent optical properties. I feel cheated because the Sony FE mount is completely manual whereas the Canon version, for the same price, is electronically connected with the camera and so the aperture can be set at the camera and EXIF data from the lens is captured by the camera. ... show more

  • Good optic and awsome macro.
Worth every penny and more. One thing, it's a manual lens and no exif data for the sony mount.
