  • OK needs work
Color: Dorado Charcoal
It is great in some areas and not great in others. So to start I am just over 400 pounds and 6'1". So big and tall. When i sit in the chair my feet do come off the ground and I do like that. The cushion is firm and I like that as well. There isn't much in the area of lumbar or head support. I ended up ordering a matching cushion for lumbar and a head rest pillow that attaches to the top for my head. This solved more than one issue. The other issue it solved was the loose back. I feel like it doesn't take much for the back to recline and there are no adjustments to make it tighter. With the cushions it makes me sit more forward and it reduces how easily it reclines. Now you can use your legs to keep the leg support from going all the way up and this offers many different recline possibilities and the recline is tighter when you do this. Doing this is easy to do. The recline handle is really far down it is a reach to get a hand on it. When you fully recline this thing is HUGE and comfortable. With all of the positive and negative things it is still a very sturdy recliner and that's what I need. It doesn't make any noise or groan or clicks... it is just strong. Overall a decent purchase. Amazon wasn't great, they flubbed the first order entirely letting me wait over two weeks then on delivery day telling me the one I ordered was out of stock. The second go round was better. There customer service has been diminishing. ... show more

  • Woohoo!! Finally got me a BIG BOY recliner chair!!! :)
Color: Chocolate
Wow! Where has this thing been most my life! I never knew they made "Big & Tall" recliners! First off, I'm 6'1" and somewhere around 405lbs. So many of the reviews made it seem like this thing might be too big even for me but it feels like it was a custom made recliner, just for me!!! :) My feet/legs don't hang way over the edge of the footrest anymore! My head & shoulders don't tower inches above the top of the backrest anymore! This IS A FIRM chair but it has to be firm and sturdy to hold up to the abuse from us fluffy guys (and gals too!). It's still comfortable and the backrest is the most comfortable part. It provides me perfect support and is the softest part of the chair. I'm in love! We're a match made in heaven! I want to marry this chair! (don't judge, it's 2022 and love is love, right?) :) Btw, this is the 4501-19 Rocking recliner! It rocks (if you want it to) when upright with the footrest down. It fully reclines and needs to be a little further away from the wall than the wall saver model which is 4501-190. Amazon sells that too in another listing. I got the chocolate one. I wanted a lighter color but my mother reminded me a dark color recliner won't show dirt as much. Good ol' mother's. Gotta love em. They're so smart. Listen to your mother's people!! This chair was a breeze to carry into the house and assemble solo! It came in 2 pieces and I'm not sure if it's 160-180lbs like the listings say. I swear the top was about 40lbs and the bottom maybe 60-80lbs but I don't have a freight scale haha. There is no additional hardware or tools needed for assembly! Oh, did I mention that I'm disabled and on a fixed income so I probably wouldn't have normally shelled out 700+ for a recliner but Amazon offered 12 monthly payments on this recliner of around 60 a month at 0% interest?? Say what!? Sign me up! Oh, I almost forgot. The Amazon freight delivery was the best! Fast and friendly delivery right to the porch since the box was actually 1" too wide for the front door. ... show more

  • Chair Broke Within 7 Month’s
Color: Walnut
Same as the first lane and the second lane chairs I’ve purchased God bless that they are fulfilled by Amazon and sold by Amazon because the boats in the lane big and tall‘s that are made to withstand 500 pounds fall out break snap etc. under a year for people in the weight class around 300 pounds 200 pounds lighter than there withstainable weight it’s completely ridiculous I love these chairs for the wideness and comfort most gray wide recliners can only be purchased as 500 pounders at least ones I’ve seen that are wide to my liking that also rock and I look great for sleeping in regardless on how gentle I was with this chair as in getting in getting out rocking and sleeping the rocker broken for months due to bolts completely snapped in half in the frame these are bolts allegedly the most powerful type made in the US for recliners yet they snap and a half like they’re made out of aluminum foil and with the price for these chairs I find that 100% unacceptable that this has been going on for 10+ years from reviews I have seen if it wasn’t for my Amazon employee discount I’d never purchase a lane again Since it knocks off $100 for me other than that I never buy a lane and I’d call their company scam artist that forcefully make chairs the break on you so you have to buy a new one or that you have to buy a warranty Amazon isn’t 100% in my book ... show more

  • For large people.
Color: Chocolate
I've had my recliner for about 9 months now. So far, so good. I have had several recliners and this one is not like the others. It is very firm as noted in the other reviews. It was only difficult to put together because I did it all alone; pretty tricky aligning the chair back with the seat bottom. Get help and it will be fairly easy. The lever that everyone mentions is only used to raise the foot rest. You have to bend forward to reach it. But you only pull it enough to release the lock on the foot rest and then it comes right up. You push with your feet on the footrest to drop it down, so there's no need to reach the handle when you get up out of the chair. It just took some getting used to it, but it's not bad. I weigh over 300 lbs. and it handles my weight very easily. This chair is a beast! It is almost 200 pounds! I read the comments that spoke of the chair breaking, so I try to sit in it gently. There has been no problem with any defects. I would probably buy this chair again. The chair is probably firmer, bigger, and more heavy duty than it needs to be for me but I am happy with my chair. It fits me better than my Lazy Boy recliner. I'd say if you are fairly big and heavy, this chair might be a good one for you. If you weigh less than 200 lbs. It might not be the comfiest chair for you but it would probably still be all right. I am impressed with how solid the chair is. ... show more
