Fantastic pistol. I own both this and the original AAP-01 and this one in terms of function is far superior, if you want it just for the purpose of having a pistol that makes a nice sidearm and plinker, buy it. If you want to upgrade outer parts like putting a brace or stock on get the AAP. The AAP is superior in terms of aftermarket parts and body kits available, however if you don’t want to send money just getting the AAP to be a good reliable pistol, get this one. The build quality is much better and it really is “pre upgraded” in terms of the extra furniture it comes with and the trigger housing/ hammer setup being all around more sturdy (considering I’ve had both for a while and have put a substantial amount of play and wear on both) the AAP hammer setup eventually wore down (as to be expected for an $100 full and semi automatic pistol) and a replacement usually will cost around $70 give or take. ... show more

Hop up was broken from the get go. The gun kept separating when we were shooting it. Took it to a match and it was pretty useless. Would not recommend. Looks cool but that is about it.

I was excited to try the Lancer Tactical Full Auto/Semi Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol with the Tandemkross Cthulhu design, but it hasn’t met my expectations. While the design looks cool and feels solid in hand, the performance is lacking. The gas blowback feature is inconsistent—sometimes it works fine, but other times the pistol barely cycles, and it struggles to shoot consistently in full-auto mode. The extra magazine is a nice touch, but it doesn't help when the pistol jams or has weak performance. It also has a tendency to leak gas after only a few uses, which is incredibly frustrating. For the price, I expected much better reliability and performance. Wouldn’t recommend it for serious airsoft players. ... show more

Excellent, value for money with two mags, and it looks like a pistol off G.I.Joe! Accurate and the mags don't leak gas it hasn't malfunction once and I use the fully auto as well. It's light weight and comes with a nice suppressor as well. A must buy and it's suitable for novice and pro's, it has bells and whistles to boot! Again looks like something Captain Kirk on Star Trek would holster, but it's a awesome pistol!!! ... show more

This is a very very nice GBB. There are a few things that cheapen it, but overall it’s really quite nice. The grip panels are the first thing that just isn’t right and doesn’t feel good along with the rest of the materials. They’re thin, flimsy, cheap feeling, and attached to the rest of the build which has a very solid feeling. That brings the experience down a bit. The other issue is that the slide release is extremely finicky. Sometimes it’s very smooth and releases easily. Other times it’s hard, catchy, and takes a lot of pressure. Then other times it simply will not release with a pressure I feel comfortable applying. I may fully disassemble at some point and find the problem to see if it can be rectified. I also highly dislike the safety toggle. It is mushy, has no detents for either position, and is difficult to get good feedback for its position. For this price point I would expect detents, more solid grip panels, and easy release slide. I have been playing airsoft since the late 90’s. I’ve had all manner of gas guns from Tokyo Marui, Marshin, Maruzen, Asahi, etc.It’s truly great to see some of the high quality gear coming out today. This one is high mid grade in my opinion. I found that with the top rail in place, the iron sights cannot be used. The rail fully obscures a sight picture, but that’s OK I guess as it would be like that in real life unless the top rail is a specifically channel milled type to maintain co-witness. All the little add-on features are fairly nice, but the case could be far better in design to allow them to be affixed and still put in the case!!! I find that extremely frustrating. For some basic data collection I used a can of Taiwanese green gas with a pressure of 70 psi +/- 5 psi. I shot five rounds of 0.12g BBs and recorded a muzzle velocity average of 439.8FPS. Outside of that recorded set I did see a few outliers as high as 520 FPS and closer to 300 FPS so your speed may vary based on ambient temperature and BBs used. I did the same five shots with 0.23g BBs and recorded an average muzzle velocity of 351.4 FPS. I’d say those are quite good in the ambient temperature of about 70 F with five seconds between shots. I would of course expect this to dip with rapid fire. Speaking of rapid fire, the switch for full auto fire is located in a very odd position on the underside of the charging handle which makes it awkward to change. Either way, it has quite a high rate of fire on full auto! It’s a lot of fun as you may expect. Overall I would recommend it if you like the style. Just beware I would not pay more than one-eighty for it. I would see it as a very good deal at one-fifty or less. ... show more

Bought this for my nephew as an early-birthday gift, 14mm ccw barrel threading worked with the tracer unit i bought him! He said he loved it, but would recommend buying an upgraded hop-up unit. I bought one of my own for an in-door field i commonly go to, and had zero issues! I really urge you to buy some extra magazines, the full auto eats through like a machine gun! ... show more
