I was tired of being blinded by my overhead room light and decided to pull the plug, so to speak. The package shipped quickly and arrived the next day. I found folded instructions in a small piece of cardboard after I set both up. It wasn't difficult without it but some people find them helpful. Set up ease: Overall, very simple. The shades come rolled up with clips for the metal rings and velcro along the edges to close it. There are two metal rings per shade. The smaller ring is at the top and the larger is at the bottom, with the attachments facing upwards (like a pyramid). 3 of my metal clips at the top do not clip at all on one lamp. The others seem to hold the shade up just fine. No issues with the other lamp. Ease of operation: I didn't find this lamp super sensitive to touch, but touching the middle section seems to operate it much better than touching the base. There are 4 modes. Dim, Medium, and High, and off. I love being able to change the brightness and not having to fumble for a button or switch. USB Charging: Operates the same as one of my faster chargers. Very pleased. For the price, I'm pretty happy with them. I removed one star because of the clips on the shade not clipping no matter how many times I've reassembled it. ... show more

I really like it. My ONLY critique is that the first power mode seems to be on a dimmer, so when you first hit it, it comes on slow. Another idea is to have a setting switch, maybe on the bottom, that you can flick that can cycle between different modes, be it just on/off, or inverse order. I get that I'm asking for a lot for not a lot, but a guy can hope. ... show more

I was skeptical because these lamps were far cheaper than lamps I saw elsewhere. I was also concerned about putting the shades together. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamps are beautiful and the shades were incredibly easy to put together. I would definitely recommend these lamps.

The lamps are easy to assemble, I place them on nightstands and they are nice addition (decoration) to master bedroom! The only issue is the night light is too bright for us even at the lowest setting so I could use the top light only. At the end I returned the lamps because I want to have table lamp where I can use the night light (what's the point to have nice lamp but can't use it fully). ... show more

The last lamp I had you had to touch the base to turn it on. I was doing that with this one and thought it was not as well made because sometimes I had to tap it more than once to turn it on. Then I realize that if you touch the body it works every time the first time. I especially like that it goes from dim to very bright. Much brighter than the last lamp I had. These are perfect for bedside lamps! They have usb ports for your devices and they have three brightness settings (picture shows left at brightest, right on dimmest).

These lamps are beautiful! Great value and quality. Lampshades are super easy to assemble (no glue or anything needed—small clips hold the shade & the seam is Velcro).
