  • A+
Color: Black Rubber Feet
definitely what I needed A+

  • a fully loaded mixed bag
Color: Black Rubber Feet
so I've wanted a Little Giant since about 1998. 'cause man, those things looked so cool! I came across this ladder and decided to give it a try. ****************** WHAT'S GOOD ****************** * it's legit sturdy. I feel like you could set it up as a bench and several people could sit on it safely. * it's got wide feet so when you lean it against something, it feels stable. * it comes with scaffold platforms which makes it safer to use in that position. * each joint has blue-coated levers to help manipulate the hinge. ****************** WHAT'S LESS GOOD ****************** * I'm pretty sure that the hinge/joints relock every 15 degrees. that means that if you want to adjust it, you have to adjust and adjust and adjust and adjust. oh, and now that it's in a different position, there's more pressure on that joint, so now the blue-coated lever is under pressure and doesn't want to unlock the joint. * adjusting on-site takes sooooooo long. we were playing with it in the backyard, just experimenting, and it was fun. I actually wanted to use it in my stairwell, and it took me 35 minutes to set up. * it doesn't come with any sort of transportation or storage solution. I've seen a lot of ladders that have wheels on one side to help you move it. and a lot of products these days come with carry straps / handles that you can also hang the thing from. this ladder has neither. * the HEAVY part of "heavy duty" is less cool when you have to move it, support it, wiggle around it, readjust the hinge,...and still keep it from falling. not a good time. ****************** PRO TIP ****************** it did come with a single sheet of paper showing positions for the ladder, but it didn't include any "here's how to manipulate it" instructions. I found a YT video by searching for the brand. that one is a different model than this one, but it gets the point across. that was super helpful, I found. ****************** SPECIAL NOTE ****************** I was contacted after the first review and offered a refund. I think that's nice. I'm adding a star (from 3 originally to 4.) it's still a pain in the tailfeathers, but I always appreciate when a store / company / manufacturer actually takes time to read reviews and responds. ****************** OVERALL ****************** it's a heavy-duty ladder that has some really good applications. if you're part of a team, I can see where this could be really handy. for an average person, I found it unintuitive and hard to manage. that said, it's well-made and in the right circumstance, could be a real asset. ... show more

  • Well built, reliable
Color: Black Rubber Feet
Heavy! Granted I'm a smedium female but collapsible to me is portable, but I've used this less because it's a bit much for me to move. However, it came in very handy recently when I had to paint walls and ceilings in an area with 9ft height. The adjustment points have little easy to pull bits that go from "🔒 " to "🔓" smoothly, and then adjust as needed. The bench-lije position is the main way I've used it, for all my project supplies and also for a step stool sort of function. The hinged/elbows however you want to refer to them, adjust easily and auto lock once they are adjusted to a certain degree. Of course always double check to make sure before putting any weight on it!! Came with two sections of metal with holes in it, they slide and fit to create a more consistent surface across the rungs, which is how I used it for a table. Haven't tried all the positions out yet but I have no doubt in this ladder. Folds down impressively for space saving. Doesn't budge in locked positions. Has feet that are slip resistant and ensure a steady experience. If I needed a ladder professionally, I'd trust this one. Built to last. Impressive craftsmanship. ... show more

  • This ladder is more than meets the eye
Color: Black Rubber Feet
As others have expressed, I also found this ladder sturdy and strong. I mainly use it as a ladder and haven’t tried it in “bench mode.” The ladder has been great, and I haven’t experienced any hinges misfiring or weakening. With the large and spread out feet, it is easy to find a balancing spot to use for climbing up. I love how compact it can fold into, which makes it great for storing. So, I must admit I forgot to put this away and left it on the side of my house for a few months during the rainy season. It has taken the weather very well. None of the hinges are rusted, neither the frame nor the rungs. This ladder is really well-made. ... show more

  • A very well-built ladder
Color: Black Rubber Feet
An extremely well built and sturdy ladder That allows for multiple uses: 6 ft A frame step ladder, 12 ft extension, a three ft sawhorse or, a 3ft high platform. I am extremely impressed by its build and how solid it feels when in use. For me, the platform mode will be used extensively in an upcoming painting job I have planned and, its three-foot height will allow me to reach the 10 ft ceilings easily. No more stretching a 2X12 across two Step ladders or trying to use a pole attachment. Its form factor also allows you to easily place this in an out of the way place or, even in the corner of a closet. However, it does have its limitations. While its very versatile, well built and has a small form factor when folded, it might not be for everyone as it does take a bit of effort to use. If you only need an occasional ladder, perhaps to change a lightbulb or, perhaps hang pictures, this might not be for you. For those quick, occasional jobs I will still prefer to grab my 12 lbs. step ladder, which quickly opens and is easy to move around the interior of a house. At almost 40 lbs, it is a bit heavy and, due to its unique design, it is awkward to put into use (especially inside) as it takes some planning to acquire the different configurations. Each joint has an individual lever to unlock the joint to move to the next position and solidly locks. However, you much go to each position and unlock it again to increase the angle of that leg (for safety reasons, this is actually a plus in my opinion). The platform mode is straight forward: simply unlock, and extend, the outer legs and then raise the center to straight out. However, for the 6 ft A-frame, or 12ft extension mode, it is actually upside down so, either extend both outer legs fully and then flip it over or, as I find preferable, lay it on its side to extend the individual legs and then raise it to the vertical position. Either way, it makes it problematic to do inside, with furniture or obstructions. If the primary use will be as an A-frame I would personally prefer a lighter dedicated one or, perhaps a "lil giant" type which is a multiuse A-frame and can also be used an extension ladder. When used in full extension mode, unlike an extension ladder where you can slide it up to the height you want, this does not give much choice. You must extend this first and then raise it into position (walk it up hand over hand) to set it against the building. But, at 12 feet for a single story this is not a problem but, I did find it a problem with trying to maneuver it into my white oaks, between branches. Every ladder has its strengths and its quirks/limitations how you will be using it will determine what you should buy. While it is a bit more work to set up than a "normal" ladder, if I am going to be using this for a larger, or extended job, once it is set up, it is an EXCELLENT ladder to use. ... show more
