Update: Found out this was an individual seller. The seller listed misleading information and is being reviewed by Amazon. The item was never available in anything other than twin. Bought a queen, got a twin size. I got one sham cover not two as described in the listing and on the package. The description says a comforter, or Duvet, but it's a duvet cover not an actual item. Amazon will not replace for the correct item; they direct you to Lacoste. Lacoste says they "don't have access to Amazon orders and cannot do anything about it." ... show more

I have been a massive fan of Lacoste since those high school days of polo-shirts and popped collars. So, their home goods became a favorite of mine as an adult. And, this comforter set is the perfect blend of preppy chic and fun. The reverse side is minimalist and nicely complements a modern decor. And, the other side is great for a more masculine bedroom, a spare room, or even a very, very lovely dorm room. The thickness of the comforter is surprisingly luxurious. While it is "heavy" per se, it is also airy. I think it could be lovely and appropriate for year-round use (and we live in a truly seasonal area). The texture of the comforter is truly remarkable ... it has the finest ribbing that gives it a very posh feel. This elegant collection would make for a wonderful gift ... even if it is for yourself! I have a queen bed, but have been using a twin comforter and well, it looked kind of silly. I finally got the opportunity to order this and I literally jumped at it. Not only does it look great, it's actually got some heft to it. I have bought several comforters in the last couple of years and none of them have the distinct thickness of this particular brand. Not that the others were bad or too thin, just not as solid, if that makes any sense. The filling seems to be more dense and while that can be a struggle on nights when it is particularly warm, I love it. And boy does it look great. I DO have one gripe. This is the first comforter set I've ever received that had pillow cases and blanket, but not the sheets to go with it. Maybe that is more common than I realize, but every set I've bought in the last couple years have included a fitted sheet, top sheet and at least one pillow case (usually two). Especially for one the size of a queen. Oh well. They're still nice. The pillow cases are fore small pillows, FYI. All in all, it looks every bit as good as it feels. The comforter is very pretty and comfortable; however, when putting the pillow in the pillow case after washing them, the zipper broke when zipping it up. It is a very cheaply made zipper. I am very disappointed for the amount of money spent on this comforter. It is also large so you will need to use a large capacity washer to clean it. I just go a Lacoste towel and I fell in love with it the second I saw it. I love this one too. I've loved the crocodile brand since I was a kid. The red whit and blue look so good on this and you can have two different looks based on which side of the comforter you use. They both have clean lines and are very stylish. This isn't too feminine or too masculine so it could go anywhere, also making it great for a guest room. It is soft and comfortable and I just paired it with white sheets although I think it would be best with navy or red. You do get the little logo on there for those who like it. Our teenage son is very particular about his room decor, and we decided on a baseball theme which has this comforter working perfectly for our needs. His theme is baseball and I really like the red, white, and blue colors. The colors are very vibrant when you first open them and look nice on the bed. The comforter has held up well for us between washes; about twice a month, or when needed. We got some corresponding sheets which complete the set, as this set did not come with any flat/fitted sheets. The comforter itself is not the smooth cotton material that you would expect, but it does give it a textured, more expensive feel because of the work that went into this woven fabric. The set came with two pillow cases and the comforter. For the price, I wish it came with the sheets or at least the small accent pillows shown in the stock photo. The completed bed in my son's room does not look the same as the stock photo because there are a lot of missing items. Overall, I feel like it is a good quality and name brand product, but it is a little pricey for the lack of items that does not come with it. For the price, I would want the entire stock photo and the items it contains within. ... show more
