got this to replace an old zebra printer several months ago so here's my experience with it. quality is great, sharp. unfortunately the maintenance is pretty high. labels get stuck after 5-10 prints and I have to open and clean off whatever sticky residue is left over the heat bar. already switched to several different labels but same issue happens. I've slowed and lowered the heat settings, while it helped it still gets the residue on the bar. if you don't mind cleaning the head alot then it's a great high resolution printer. otherwise look elsewhere. ... show more

I did a LOT of review searching on amazon and YouTube about the various brands and versions of thermal printers. Honestly I was going back and forth between 3 cheaper priced printers than the ROLLO. I read every review under 5 stars and THIS model, I could not find any negative remarks on. It works fine, VERY EASY TO INSTALL. The one thing that should be a given is to make sure your printed document is formatted to the 4x6 size. I use this for my Etsy shop and this investment made me so happy. Now is the best time to do online business. I know you probably want to hear the drawbacks as I did when searching for the right product. Is it bulky? the dimentions are 8.25 inches across the front, 4 inches wide on the sides, and stands a little over 3.5 inches high. I opted for the back feeder rather than the spool printers because I felt that there would be less likely to jam. Withe the label stack sitting behind it does consume over a foot of space from front to back. There is a bit of a "clicking" sound when I print but not at all annoying. I am a strong believer in that you get what you pay for being that price is always a factor when considering quality of any product. There were cheaper thermal printers I found at 150 and 135 and even 109 dollars. But this I can say was a choice I am proud of. There was harder research to do on this particular brand model though in terms of reviews. There was only one video on YouTube where she really doesn't dive into any real critiques or how to set up, just what she bought for her business and shows her struggling with formatting. This has been a total game changer for me. No more taping labels to boxes. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars versus 5 is that my laptop would not recognize it as a printer when I was setting it up and had to have someone do it for me and they said it was not an easy fix. the higher resolution is nice, and can see it when printing anything custom, off of md word or similar. labels seem to be the same, as i think the resolution will always depend on the source file. fast enough. and much better looking than the pictures. the purl white and black top are awesome. (if you care as i do). why not 5 stars? well, thats because the print driver as many others, is still confusing when you are used to full blown out settings. has the resolution referenced as "density" and there is a speed setting, which makes no sense. speed and quality should be (logically), directly related: either slow and good, or fast and bad. setting both to ultra fast and high density will result in what exactly? it that is a viable option, then we all can agree that is should have default settings at high res and high speed, as to why would anyone want those otherwise? had the rollo for 10 days, and i cannot recommend one over the other, as rollo support were trying hard and were responsive to try to get mine to work. (print amazon labels), but I got tired of trying. I like this one personally much better, it does print what you see, and does the labels beautifully, with no headaches. ... show more
