You will need two people for sure to install parts of this. On the bottom of the left side bed pay attention to the pieces installed as the holes may not line up later down the road when you have to attach the other bed and part of the roof. You also may have to clear out some of the wood in the predrilled holes, so that the bolt for the screws will sit flush and engage the screws. I used one if the screws to clear the wood out. Instead of attaching both sides (further steps (the roof) it may be easier if you do one side first, then the other and then attach them. Instead of attaching the entire roof, I started with the piece of the window section, then to the bed frame, and then the same for the other roof section. Then did the support beam between the two roofs. I laud out all the parts in numerical order and then brought the parts together in the order listed in the steps, which made things go faster. ... show more

It is nice to look at but its not very sturdy if you have very active kids. It needs two people to put the roof of the bed, mine got broken while i was trying to build it.
