After reading the reviews I decided to size up. I am 5' 6'' and around 140lbs so the size chart said I could fit a medium but I got the large and it fits perfectly. It's a very appropriate level of sheerness, but not opaque. I wish they were a little more sheer. They are very soft. Usually, when I buy tights like these I expect them to be a bit scratchy. But these are actually SO soft and comfortable to wear! They make my legs feel like butter! The "control top" doesn't really do anything for me - but I don't mind that. They are true to size (I'm 5'10 and got my usual medium), and the perfect amount of sheer. Anytime I buy tights, they don’t reach all the way , comfortably, to my crotch area. Even though I buy the size recommended!!! If I go up, they are ridiculously long. I desperately needed to find sheer tights for a tango skirt I bought on Amazon which I was wearing for Christmas or any time I wanted to.
