Received this for Christmas from my husband as my straightener was on the fritz and I fell in love with the curing aspect so decided to keep it. However the straightening aspect is not great. You have really push down the plates together to get a solid flat iron look as it is not a tight clamp. (takes multiple runs over each strand if not, and even then is eh from a flat iron look). BUT the curing aspect is fabulous so for the price point honestly it's worth it. I can curl my hair in 15 min or less (very thick hair over here) and it holds with a bit of hair spray all day. i have long hair that reach the armpit. My hair doesn't hold curl but i was intrigued with this kind of tool. I didn't want to buy from this company because i bought another item and i thought the quality was poor. First i bought the Conair dupe of this item and liked how it worked but it was pulling on my hair and it was short. So I decided to get this Lange grande since I have long hair. This is better than the dupe for curling. It holds the curl, it's easy to use, doesn't pull, so far happy with that feature. I am deducting stars because it is very poor as hair straightener. Ok I have to tell you that I am the absolute worst at curling my hair. I mean I couldn't work a curling iron to save my life. This is so easy. SO EASY. I like that you can use it as a flat iron, or can use it to either curl or wave your hair, depending on how you use it. I also love that it has the fan built in to help seal your style. I bought this during Prime day so I got it for cheaper, but I would pay full price for it because it is that good and that easy to use. I saw this product repeatedly in my feeds on Instagram and TikTok. The testimony and video had me convinced that this would be the magical product to transform my styling ineptitude. I would be able to achieve the perfect beach waves with little exertion. L’ange means Angel, right? I was hoping for heavenly results. I have should length fine but wavy/curly hair. It typically styles pretty easily and holds the curl but I am not a very accomplished girly girl and can only do minimal things with my hair. So, when I left my curling iron behind during a trip, I took it as a good opportunity to finally buy a L’ange. It is easy to use and it does create some nice beachy waves in my fine hair. However, they fall out pretty quickly even with lots of product. Unfortunately there are several problems that have made me have buyer’s remorse. The biggest problem is the placement of the power/temp button. Every time I place my hand on the base, I change the temp to the lowest setting which does not work for my hair. So then I have to warm it back up to the desired temp. Another problem is that when you power off the curling iron, it continues to cycle through the temp lights, flashing while at rest unless you unplug it. I don’t like any light pollution in my bedroom or en suite so this is annoying. Third, it does not have any feet upon which to rest when not in use. It discolored my countertop after one use.
