I've been wearing makeup for over 7 years, I am still in my early 20s and I had never used loose powder or any kind of powder to set my makeup. I usually just blot to remove oils throughout the day or use the urban decay de-slick powder to mattify my face. This product does keep your face matte throughout the day, I do not have to blot or re-apply at all and it blends your makeup well. Does not look tacky unless you have applied too much foundation. I was looking for a product that was affordable and comparable to higher end translucent setting powders. I think this product if very finely mild. It has a very strange scent to it, I can't explain it the smell, but it does not go away immediately after application. I think this powder does the job to spread a light layer to set on your whole face but very minimally. I do not recommend this powder as something to set your concealer with though. This powder WILL show on camera. It shoes a very strong cast if you apply it under your eyes. I would not recommend it if you know you will be taking photographs. I recommend this powder for beginners and for someone who is looking for an affordable product. Overall, this product does the job. You get better quality than other drugstore loose powders. I do not think this is comparable to high end loose powders though. I will use this to set my foundation and still have to keep loosing for a powder to set my concealer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. TERRIBLE. I'm not sure where most of these good ratings are coming from but this product is literally terrible. If you are looking to buy a product to bake your face with this is almost useless. It falls off your skin and does not stay put, it is such a fine powder that it just blows away and gets everywhere (a lot of loose powders do but this one literally goes EVERYWHERE), and it just simply does not work. I bought this to use as a product to bake with but it does not stay on your face at all. The feeling of it is like a rubbery nasty feeling on your face and it smells like pure chemicals. I was looking for a good cheap product to use to highlight and bake my face and let me tell you girl this is not it. This doesn't even work to set your entire face it is just overall awful. A good alternative is the coty airspun loose powder. It is AWESOME. I went to my local walgreens and bough the coty one after I had received this LA girl powder in the mail because it was so terrible for me. The coty airspun powder is cheap and it's hard to get on amazon because it is always out of stock so check your local drug stores. It's only $7.99 USD. DO NOT BUY THIS LA GIRL PRODUCT. Some of their other products are good but this one did not work for me at all. I love this setting powder because it came with its own applicator. It is great for face "baking" to set the concealer so that you are not wasting when you put the foundation on afterwards. It is great for a matte look. It also came very quickly and undamaged. The only reason that it isn't five stars is because you can't really use it to set your foundation because of it's lightness in color, it wasn't as translucent on top of foundation on fair-medium skin as expected, but very good for concealer usage! I've never used a setting powder before, but I really need it when I use liquid foundations - I don't mind looking glowy, but I don't like to look shiny. After researching all the different "drugstore" setting powders, I narrowed it down to this one. The product is white, but goes on sheer. It does not settle in my fine lines or look cakey on me - even when using setting spray. I also like that there is NO shimmer in this. It simply makes my foundation look more natural. My only gripe is that it's difficult to get out of the package without it going everywhere, but it's so finely milled, I don't know if that's even possible. I'm so glad Amazon has a large selection of LA Girl, because I've not seen a lot at retailers near me. ... show more

I absolutely love this powder! I use it to set my concealer under my eyes and it keeps my concealer in place and looking great throughout the day. You do have to make sure that you blend it out completely or it will show up in flash photography. My only big concern with this powder is that the holes in the top are way too big and too much product comes out and is wasted but other than that I've had no problems with this powder and would definitely repurchase it. ... show more

I use this product a few times a week as a makeup setter and I think it works fairly well considering how hot the weather has been. I can get shiny and this combats that as well. It can be used to touch up during day as well. I'm about done with my first order and plan to get another. Definitely recommend for the price as there are a lot of similar products out there that cost much more. I've tried the MAC finishing powder as well as elf and think this is on par, a bit better than elf perhaps not as good as MAC (but much more affordable). I would recommend. ... show more

I abosolutley adore the translucent settting powder from elf, but as it was not available ass a non add-on I decided to try a new powder. I really love this setting powder for being so easy to brush off, without leaving a white cast. It serves its pourpuse, but has some flashback on darkskin, hence my 4 star rating.
