This is not your typical Laser Printer - open omg the shipping carton and looking at the way Kyrocera packed this printer about floored me ! It probably could take a trip to the moon and back! I’ve owned HP commercial office laser printers and and a Konica Laser copier and this is built every bit as well as those work horses - very sturdy and nice looking . Once you get it ready to turn on ( easy yo follow guides ) it’s great that you can print in monochrome and not use any color of you want - I installed this to WiFi router by net cable but it has other inputs -sweet ! It will AirPrint to my IPad and IPhone no problem - something I really like ! Kyocera has support online for this printer and THE BEST TECH HELP EVER !!!! I called to get WiFi going and had two different techs willing to help - and they were speaking English! I am very happy with this printer ! Print quality is what you would expect -great text and half tones in mono haven’t tried color yet ... show more

    • Solid performer right out of the box!
Bought this as a replacement for a previous color laser printer with built-in duplex and the ability to print card stock and envelopes, so the Kyocera P5021cdw had to have all of these features at a minimum and it does! Comes with a setup CD and lightweight cartridges (1200 vs std 2200-2500 pages) so typical of new printers these days! Shame that a full set of replacement cartridges will cost more than a new printer! I am using the Ethernet connection so cannot comment on the USB or wireless capability. My only reason for not giving this a "5-star" review is the untested features that I cannot comment on and the rather confusing on-printer button menu. The driver software provides access to most of the capabilities, so the printer buttons won't see much use. As stated in the specification, the time to produce a first page is rather long, particularly when waking up from the power-saving sleep mode, but once that first page is done, getting subsequent double-sided pages every 4-5 seconds is impressive and it's much quieter than its predecessor! ... show more

    • A little slow to start printing
From the time you push print, till it starts printing, seems to take too long. I sometimes push print a second time because it took so long. I am also concerned about how much toner it is using. I just ordered an expensive black toner, hoping it lasts longer than the starter

    • Off-colors and an internal server error
I cannot get this thing to print colors as it's supposed to. Blue always comes out purple. Yellow looks too orange. Emailed Kyocera support, and after asking the printer's serial number, Kyocera support pretty much told me to find paid professional support, since I bought this printer online. You'd think they could point me to a color profile if their printer doesn't work out of the box... Now the web interface, which was already a bit sluggish, craps out and just says "500 Internal Sever Error", and I have no idea if there are software updates or how they would get to the printer, or if that web interface will ever talk to me again. At least it still prints black... but if I wanted that only, I could have bought a monochrome printer for a third of the price. Disappointing. ... show more

Printer is great, we've had it for couple of months now and it works wonderfully. It can be a little on the loud side when it prints but that does not bother us in one bit. Sleek and functional.

I’ve had it for a few months now with light use. It's been good, reliable, OK... Not sooper photo quality. No more dried up ink or leaking ink issues. It just works. OK price at $300 I am concerned about finding fair priced toner. I don't expect to ever have to replace the rollers however... One of the strongest selling points of Kyocera. ... show more

    • Spend the extra money
I've had this a little over a year now. Starting to make a horrible noise and I can only imagine that it's going to just up and quit any time now. Goes through toner like mad, curls cardstock, pain to change the manual settings every time I want to print labels or cardstock. Just not worth it. Will be going back to an HP. At least they are consistent. ... show more
